Loughran was suspended 1 game next season.

So will he be a repeat offender when he takes another dangerous cheap shot at someone else next year (most likely in Northern's second game)? I have a hard time believing this little greaseball will learn from sitting out just one game.

Also, since it is a WCHA suspension, will it be the first WCHA game? Or will Grandpa Tony schedule a game against Laurentian so his little #DivingDiva can get his wrist slapping out of the way before the league games start?

"Northern Michigan has completed its 2019-20 schedule. As a result, Loughran will sit out the Wildcats' first NCAA Division I contest of the 2020-21 season. Loughran would be eligible to return for the Wildcats' second NCAA Division I contest in 2020-21."

GOOD... Hopefully the league also had a talk with the on-ice official also(unless he's not allowed to review the play) for not reviewing and his comments to Coach Joe about not reviewing the play and justifying it by telling coach his guys are "mugging the little man".

Have Fun to all the Husky fans going to Mankato!!! It is my hands-down favorite road trip in the WCHA. I wish I could get the time off work to go this weekend... Pagliai's pizza is excellent. The owner of PUB 500 was great to visit with and his business has good food and drink. Mettler's later in the night for .... well if you have ever been to 'kato you'll know why Number 4 restaurant and bar has a nice atmosphere and good food. Man I wish I could go... GO HUSKIES!!!

It's just like everything else these days. Yes, we did mug the guy. It's only the reason we mugged him that wasn't discussed.

The same official also yelled at the bench that the reason he didn't call the too many men penalty on NMU was because "it was deflected".

I’m looking forward to John Scott’s next podcast to drop. Last week he predicted a Tech sweep and had some very unkind things to say about NMU, their hockey team, and their town.

I'll be happy if it goes to a Game 3. Advancing would take Mankato being completely off their game twice. Stranger things have happened, I guess.

Outscoring them each game of the series will be the biggest key to winning. The players don't like to talk about it outside the lockerroom, but who can score the most will be a big factor in the outcome of these games and the series overall.

It's very doable for Tech. UAA was tied with them right to the end of the game on Saturday night. It was a one goal game until they got the empty netter with seconds left in the game. It will take good defense and excellent goaltending. They outshoot their opponents by large margins!

C'mon Suze. The shots on goal were 53-14. So don't act like Anchorage played evenly with MSU up until the end. You got outstanding goaltending on Saturday night or it wouldn't have been close at all.

I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I always enjoy having the Tech fans in town. They're loud and boisterous, but not obnoxious. They're fun to have in the building.
