2019-20 DIII Schedules

Plattsburgh posted their schedule and among the major highlights is that UW-River Falls will be coming east to the Panther/Cardinal Classic in Middlebury. Tournament will be Plattsburgh, Adrian, Middlebury (host) and UW-River Falls.

That’s impressive. Eau Claire coming out on the men’s side
Too for the PrimeLink. It’s rare to get those public western schools to come out here.

Wonder why Elmira dropped out (or didn't come back). I'll be curious to see their schedule...

Not sure why they're skipping the Cardinal-Panther (or were they not invited back?), but they are coming through the Burgh for a Valentine's Day date (love the irony)...which while I understand why they do it with the NEWHL being what it is I'm not thrilled they're blessing Elmira's SOS with their presence after they and the other private schools took their ball and went home.

The NESCACS tend to be the last to announce their schedule, which is very on brand, everyone else will probably release in the next few weeks.

EDIT: Also good on Nazareth getting Amherst and Hamilton to play them NC in their second year. Geography helps but it speaks to their credibility...

I think Nazareth is going to be creeping around the top 10 in the national poll sooner rather than later.

Looked through some of the schedules during my lunch hour today. Jennifer Wilson has guts putting together the NC schedule Lake Forest is looking at. Two at River Falls, two at Eau Claire, one at Hamline, and hosting Elmira and St. Thomas consecutive days. That has to be the best outside the perennial contenders and probably a great case for toughest overall.

I believe her resignation was announced last week. Not sure who's out there but they'll find someone. If I were them and couldn't find an experienced HC, I'd go after Ashley Ryan who's been the assistant at Alvernia as they've recruited their inaugural team or maybe Hanna Prow who's assisting Utter across town at Wilkes.

As far as I know all the other HC vacancies that popped up are filled.

Superior posted their schedule calling it tough, which it seems to be pretty rough...trying to remember from last year who was good in the MIAC/NCHA

But 4 games against St Scholastica (2 are exhibitions), 2 with Gustavus, 1 vs Augsburg, Hamline, and then the 3 conference games with River Falls and Eau Claire.

Fortunately, with the addition of Northland to WIAC, they get 3 Northland games, then they have their 2 Finlandia they gotta have every year, St Kates.

King's announced they've hired former Marysville (ACHA) assistant coach Brice Baricevic as their assistant coach. They don't mention him as an interim HC, so presumably they are still trying to hire a head coach. However he appears to be the only coach for the program until that happens.

Superior's been in the WIAC since all the UW schools switched...yeah I see a typoed and said NCHA

The Reading Royals announced that the Alvernia women will play Manhattanville at their home rink (7,000-seat Santander Arena in Reading, PA) prior to their Pink the Rink Game vs the Wheeling Nailers on February 8th.

With the Alvernia vs Manhattanville game set for 2p and the Royals vs Nailers game set for 7, that could be around a 3 hour gap if it's sold as a single admission event, maybe it will be split where they might not even ticket M'ville vs Alevernia. I hope they get good attendance....
