Pretty even game between UVM and Cuse, but UVM's capitalized on their chances and Cuse, well, hasn't

I flipped back to this game when I got too frustrated with the Clarkson broadcast. Good production, but the announcer has apparently has just discovered superlatives, and he's deeply in love with them.

I'm not sure how much of this was Gophers looking great and how much of this was SLU looking like they were skating in slush

It looked, particularly on that 5-3 shorty, that SLU had not seen that sort of speed. A one up umbrella with the one up at the top of the circle is an invitation to disaster.

2-1 after one. UVM got one through Shanahan (although there was a pretty bad missed call in the buildup), then Gophers went back ahead on a Heise goal.

UVM's been competitive and arguably the better team BUT I'm not sure we can maintain that level of compete for another 40 minutes

You can strike the "arguably" from that sentence, though they had a large gap to make up after the Gophers had seven shots and all of the possession in the first five minutes

Minnesota wins 6-2 but...Kinda ugly on their part. UVM has some skill but just not the depth of Minnesota.
