Well that was a classic meltdown! You can sure tell when Killer isn't there behind the bench. There were a few goals that Romeo should have had or never got all the way into the proper location & position.
MSU had some puck luck as well on the goal that went off of Tommy's skate.
What ticked me off most was we had the puck on a stick several times when the net was empty and not one person tried for the net to end it!

I have to say that after last night's debacle I was in stunned disbelief seeing this morning we are tied for 2nd in the Pairwise!

I dont know what that was last night but I have all the confidence in this team that it will not happen again.

Much different feeling leaving the building last night over Friday night. The first period wasnt as tight as i would have liked it defensively but the rest of the was pretty much lockdown. Tommy made a couple great saves to keep the shutout but the team defense was outstanding. On to Michigan Week part 1.

Well the Spartans really pushed hard in the 1st trying to ignite the goal scoring success they had Friday and it kept us on our heels but by the 2nd they were much slower having burned the flame too bright in the 1st which allowed us to get in OUR game and you know the rest.
We weren't having a repeat of Friday and I heard some of how Coach lit into them after THAT screw up!
Tommy did take a dive which was in front of me and he was grinning big time on getting the call. Girl behind him was caught on TV screaming at him and giving him the finger, LOL!
BTW, found out I was parked next to Izzo and got to talk briefly with him when he came out of the basketball arena to go home after returning from Columbus. He was very gracious.

Speaking of Michigan coming up, do you realize if we sweep we will tie the football team's win streak over them? LOL!!

Izzo was sitting two rows in front of me but i didnt get to speak to him. Trust me i have already done the math on that streak lol

There's 27 lower bowl seats left for sale not counting resale for Saturday's game and probably 80% of the club level seats sold. I'd say odds are good the 3rd level will be open for sale by mid-week!
Everybody loves watching a Michigan loss!

Upper bowl is on sale as of now. Going to be over 13000 it looks like on saturday night

Those new kiosk operated concession stands on the north side of the concourse are a pain in the a*ss when it's not crowded. it's going to be a total FUBAR getting food or drink there with a real crowd. Since you can order at the kiosk or the counter they never know who's order is up.

Greetings from Key West. Ran into some permanent residents who graduated from OSU and they directed us to a more local bar on Saturday that has the B1G Network. We talked the folks into putting the game on their main screen. Had a few people complain about hockey but they wound up with a good crowd of OSU folks gathered around it. and one poor soul of an MSU graduate. A good time was had by all but that one. Will miss the Michigan games as well. Hoping it's shown on some network that is available here. Cheer loudly and keep the streak going. Really happy for Mason jobst - quite an accomplishment.

BTW the weather is wonderful.

Since we're both Buckeyes I won't tell you where you can shove that Florida weather.
The Saturday game against TTUN is on BTN at 7:00, so going back to that same bar?

TTUN just lost tonight at home to Merrimack 4-2.
Let's keep the losses coming this weekend for them!

Certainly didnt want to lose a game to them but winning last night was very important for a few reasons. Dont want to lose two in a row or get swept at home but to stay in first place as well. That goal by Ege might go down as the biggest goal of the season.

We need the younger players to step up and be ready to fill the void we'll have next season when we graduate some very talented seniors. Next man up, reload - not rebuild as they say. I'd say Quinn Preston is most improved offensive player this season and Tommy Nappier has gone from giving up rebounds to bad places at bad times to being VERY solid and confident in net!
I hate to be negative but to me Romeo and Laczynski haven't seem to be less than they were last year and will this affect if Tanner stays or goes for his senior season?
