2018-19 Rosters read'em and weep....

Re: 2018-19 Rosters read'em and weep....

I thought players were guaranteed a spot on the roster when they committed to the D3 school?? True or not?

I realize Plattsburgh sometimes has a lot of turnover but at Norwich I haven't seen many, if any, recruited players cut the first year. Am I wrong. Some guys left school later on for various reasons (cost, girlfriends).

Just because they are not on the roster doesn't mean they got cut, they could have seen they were going to not get much for playing time, they just didn't mesh with the other players/coaching staff etc. He could have left school to maybe go back to JR's to try and got noticed somewhere else much different then being cut.

It has happened. I had a couple of kids in a precalc class who got cut one year. They withdrew immediately from their classes and transferred elsewhere. Every year there are kids who didn't get much playing time in the first semester who ended up playing at other NEHC schools in the second semester.
