2018-19 Penn State Nittany Lions

Re: 2018-19 Penn State Nittany Lions

Maybe I will have to upgrade a win and tie against RPI(probably not) Qunnipiac lost today 1-0 to RPI. Selander again.

Did she score the goal for RPI?! Goalies can't win games by themselves. Q'pac had 41 shots on her and couldn't find a way to get a couple past her. Leading goal scorer Blake Orosz is clutch scoring with 1 second left in regulation! Wow! The Q'pac timeout backfired.

Re: 2018-19 Penn State Nittany Lions

That Quinnipiac loss could be the nail in the coffin..... Kudos to Orosz. Selander just absorbs a lot of shots and allows her team to stay in it. I think RPI is well coached. And obviously the whole team is performing.

Holy Batman: Ridgewell leads Merrimack to a 1-0 win on BC. Yes Sorenson had a goal and the d played great and that Third line center was 10-5 on faceoffs. Pats on the back for everyone.

Happy Holidays to you too, Zed. No snow here either. Hoping for tomorrow...

We have, as the Pioneer Press for once correctly predicted, a "dusting." More of the heavy, wet and nasty stuff is on the way supposedly in a few days. Hopefully it will all be gone by January 5th so Lot 37 is clear behind Ridder. The other good news is that Yoerg's is open now with great Bavarian beer and pretzels.

Re: 2018-19 Penn State Nittany Lions

It's back to hockey for Penn State this weekend, traveling to Boston University for a December 30-31 series to close out 2018. As with most out-of-conference series, I know diddly about BU except that they're 8-4-4 for the season. I'm not going to bother looking up season stats on them to compare to Penn State - it's an out-of-conference series to shake off the holidays, but hey...it's hockey, and it's streaming online. The streaming service is Stadium, and it looks like it's free, but I'm not 100% sure.

Game one (Sunday, Dec. 30, 2:30 PM): https://watchstadium.com/live/penn-state-at-boston-university/
Game two (Monday, Dec. 31, 1:00 PM): https://watchstadium.com/live/penn-state-at-boston-university-2/

Re: 2018-19 Penn State Nittany Lions

It's a Penn State hockey day, finally (2:30 today) - streaming video links are in the post above this one!

Re: 2018-19 Penn State Nittany Lions

Penn State and BU are scoreless after one. It looks pretty even so far, with each team kind of owning a half of the period. Penn State had a goal called off for goalie interference and took the only penalty of the game so far. Penn State leads in shots on goal 7-5, but neither goalie has really been all that tested.

Good news - the streaming video is free, and they have a good announcer, too: https://watchstadium.com/live/penn-state-at-boston-university/

Re: 2018-19 Penn State Nittany Lions

After two it's still scoreless at BU, with very little offense from either side. Both teams are at 13 shots on goal after two periods. Penn State has killed off three penalties, and had one power play opportunity.

Re: 2018-19 Penn State Nittany Lions

That's the end at BU with a 1-1 OT tie. BU led the shots on goal 24-21, and the Penn State penalty kill went 4-0. Penn State shut down a lot of chances with blocking 25 shots to BU's 9 blocks. Izzy Heminger got the lone Penn State goal, and Sammy Davis scored for BU.

It was a really good video stream, with a really good announcer...and free. Back at it tomorrow at 1:05: https://watchstadium.com/live/penn-state-at-boston-university-2/
