Canton's schedule has them playing Bryn Athyn on the road on February 9th and 10th and then again at home on the 23rd and 24th. Bryn Athyn's schedule just has them playing the two at Bryn Athyn. They have nothing listed for the second weekend.

noticed that only a few teams have 2 exhibition games on the schedule,wonder why more are not taking advantage of the extra tilt??

January 27th is going to be a busy day!!!

Last year's JWU @ Nichols game lasted 2 hours and five minutes. Assuming this years game lasts about the same amount of time, that gives people 10 minutes to get from Burrillville to Pawtucket. Give me a fast enough car and challenge accepted! haha.

Canton's schedule has them playing Bryn Athyn on the road on February 9th and 10th and then again at home on the 23rd and 24th. Bryn Athyn's schedule just has them playing the two at Bryn Athyn. They have nothing listed for the second weekend.

I noticed that, too. One other thing, Canton typically plays the SUNYAC teams twice. However, this year, there are three SUNYAC schools they only play once.

I wonder how last minute that was because that would mean Canton would be three games short. Ergo, the possibility they lined up Bryn Athyn for a few more games, and perhaps that is why it's not yet on Bryn Athyn's schedule. Note that second weekend is when conferences have their playoffs going on, but for these two teams, that doesn't matter, so they had the weekend available.

Interesting note: they replaced the Canton road game with a home game against Wesleyan. I guess they're not being forced to schedule 2 against Canton anymore?

I made that comment earlier in the thread -- three SUNYAC schools are playing Canton just once. The other five schools are still playing them twice.

Would those be the schools that wanted Canton accepted vs. Those not accepting Canton?

I'm sure this has been explained a while ago, but why has Canton been an independent for so long and why won't the SUNYAC let them join?

The SUNYAC presidents did not want Canton in the conference. And the SUNYAC has leaned against allowing affiliate members in some sports only ever since Morrisville got in for men's ice hockey and field hockey.
