2016-17 Rosters

SUNY Cortland has their roster up there as well.

Fall out of your seat....

11 freshman
SIX ARE FOREIGN!

In the last 17 seasons Cortland has hada total of 12 foreign players. They've had 8 in the past 4 years...combined.

Did they finally get their head out of their *** and figure things out? I'll leave it to the LinkANator to see if maybe they've dipped to the dark side and started a FA program. I can not remember a foreign freshman class like this...hopefully it continues, and their not pulling a "Neumann".

Re: 2016-17 Rosters

The "U" has their roster up as well......3 D1 transfers and 29 players,Maybe they will get home ice in the Final 4 this yr:p

Re: 2016-17 Rosters

Ammirato played in 51 games at Union 3-5-8pts

Dill played in 32 games for Massachusetts
9-13-1. .872Save% and a 4.18GAA

Schmidt played at Arizona State for 15 games last season, 0-0-0

Id say only 2 D1 transfers....

Re: 2016-17 Rosters

I saw Ammirato play against Michigan last year and he scored. Kind of a fluky goal. He's fast just not all that skilled really.

Re: 2016-17 Rosters

I believe Schmidt also played a season and a half at Ferris St before leaving (returned to juniors or transferred to ASU?)

Indeed so, my bad. 43 games at Ferris 2-5-7. 33 games as a Freshman. Then 10 as a Sophomore....all before Thanksgiving ....Juniors. ...then ASU... was it an injury or grades?

Points really are misleading. One thing that you can't measure is experience. That alone can be huge in a locker room. Look at all the D1 games played these 3 have combined. Could be the missing link Utica was looking for. Hobart has it's work cut out for them in the ECAC West IMO.

Oswego has its roster up on their site,no surprises except a few BIG beards ......team looks big in #'s and size

They aren't. Proactive, motivated and competent recruiting pays dividends, especially in the wildly disparate landscape of d3hky where laziness persists in many, many places. The evolution didn't begin until the early to mid-2000s, and it's far from complete...

Re: 2016-17 Rosters

Looks like a nice roster with all the top scorers coming back ,they had a very good yr last yr,just ran into St. Point,, added a few Transfers as well, should be good fun when they come to Oswego for the Pathfinder in Jan,hope they dont steal the hardware.
The Blugolds are a very well coached group...always have a good sized D..play well as a team.
I am sure they will represent "The West" well in the Pathfinder..
