2015 DIII Commitments

Re: 2015 DIII Commitments

looks like a good pick up........Platty has 7 commits listed on collegecommitments and have read of another 2 or 3 I think plus whatever else coach has up his sleeve, big class coming in,looks like they lost 6 from last yr...
This is from the D3 page I believe that Charles Barber and Evan Lindquist are coming in next year. Still a pretty big class I wonder if there were any transfers leaving .

Re: 2015 DIII Commitments

Oswego adds a fourth so far this yr..Connor Costello 6'1" 205 Defense, played at Army 2013-14 15 games played freshman yr,last yr played in the USPHL-P. Looks like he was on his way to Trinity, but changed his mind.

Re: 2015 DIII Commitments

And EC wonders why they have become mediocre. Have you read the stat lines for the recruits they have signed. These guys could not find the goal with a road map and GPS. 10 goals 6 assist, 4 goals 13 assist, 3 goals 29 assist. Those forwards don't scare midget-B goalies. The defense men they have recruited are better then the forwards are. What happened to recruiting small, fast skating, goal scorers. Sad, just sad.

I would give these recruits a chance first, last year at Oswego we had one recruit who's #'s were average at best, 17 goals in 54 games in the CCHL,not exactly huge ....he turned out to be a very good goal scorer, and top player as a frshman.Keep the faith

Re: 2015 DIII Commitments

Has anyone noticed the class that UWSP is putting together? Tanner Karty lead his team in scoring in the USHL last year. They also have 3 D1 transfers right now.

D1 transfers dont get your name on the trophy automatically,we at Oswego have had many different degrees of succes with the D1 transfer, from very few goals/sitting in a suit to top players......as for UWSP the link to Karty says he is headed to Lake Superior State????,perhaps a last minute change?? The goalie didnt play a game, but has stellar NAHL #'s the other 2 look to be ok with some USHL background, but thats not a gaurentee either, like I said to the Elmira fan wait and see,ya never know......

Obviously there is no guarantee. On paper, UWSP's class looks great so far. Considering this is a commitments thread, paper is the best thing to judge a class by at this time.

yes looks like a nice class..........on paper or even the computer screen,I would imagine they will contend come March.

Even without this class, UWSP with coach brooks behind the bench will compete come March. But there is definitely some excitement here Point, people are excited to built on the success from last season

Is Karty attending or LSSU??

100% credible report to me said he's headed to Point. Obviously as this is DIII, his or any other name on the list isn't official until they show up in fall, but as of the moment consider the Point info quite solid.

Thanks, looks to be a very solid pick-up,dont see to many,if any, leading scorers of their team from the USHL going to a D3 team.

Re: 2015 DIII Commitments

My guess is that it has to be.

And if the kid gets a degree, it will all work out for him in the end.

Re: ECAC/W Commitments

Re: ECAC/W Commitments

And if he can do that, even better.

All the same, he'd better make sure he walks across that stage on Graduation Day. I don't think I'd put my chips on the NHL at this point.
