2015-2016 Last Person Standing!

Rhett

Southern Bias!
It's that time of year again!

We've had a great contest the past thirteen seasons, and things will kick off this year with the games of October 30th-November 1st.

Have your name etched in stone next to legendary past winners:

2003-2004 - purple_and_gold10 *
2004-2005 - Stompey5 * & Wormser-PointRC *
2005-2006 - Panorama Course *
2006-2007 - idontbelieveit
2007-2008 - NUProf *
2008-2009 - Wormser-PointRC *
2009-2010 - hawk * (thread)
2010-2011 - Pioneerfan11 (thread)
2011-2012 - NorthernLite (thread)
2012-2013 - 97osu (thread)
2013-2014 - neumyer & NUProf (thread)
2014-2015 - SNChockey (thread)
2015-2016 - THIS COULD BE YOU!

* - indicates "Perfect Seasons"

So here's how it works:
1) Each week, before the first games start on Friday, you must select the winner in one D-II/III men's hockey game played on that Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. (The lone exceptions are (1) over winter break, when the games are few and far between for about 3 weeks. Recent tradition is that we take these weeks off... but stay tuned. Most of you will be eliminated by then anyways ;); and (2) during the first week of the competition, when you only have to ensure your pick is made before your game starts, that way we can get a few less frequent commenters an opportunity to learn about the contest and join during week one).
2) If the team you pick loses or ties, or you fail to make a pick... your season is over. The last chance to make your pick is before the puck drops on Friday's first game (so watch out for early Friday games; again, an exception is made during week one only). This rule is carved in stone. I once eliminated myself on account of not getting my own pick in on time.
3) Once you use a team, you can't ever use them again. EVER. (Well, this season anyways)
4) When making your picks for a new week, list all teams you have used previously. If you try to pull a fast one, you'll get caught!
5) I'm the final arbiter if something "weird" happens. Some examples we've seen: If you make an ambiguous pick, I'll assign the earliest possible valid game, if there is one, otherwise you're out; if your game is rescheduled, that's still your game for that week, it's just in a state of abeyance and the eventual result will be retroactive; if your game is cancelled, you have to make 2 picks the next week.

Could the tiebreaker be which of the Nowich, Plattsburgh or Oswego threads will have the most posts by Selection Sundae?

Maybe hockeyfan77 and neumyer have great confidence in Daniel Webster?

I can't see it. I know it's Matt Tendlers first game behind the bench, but #Neuman is an ECAC-W school and we know that ECAC-W schools are all powerful.

And, except for Adrian, first year teams have been pretty forgettable, especially in their first few games.
