Re: 2014 Stanley Cup Finals - I'm so Anze about how Quick Hank is, I'm Nashing my tee

i know his shot was tipped, but nash had the same open net type of shot and didn't score. One of the difference makers. He really did pretty much nothing since november.

Yea, but it will be Rogers Hockey Night in Canada.
...on CBC.

Hopefully not too much will change on Saturday nights. To much history for those of us who grew up with the Hewitts, Galivan, Cole, and as far back as Ed Fitkin and Ward Cornell, Irvin and the powder blue suit jackets! :D

Just have to say it...Good for you Chris Kreider! Every National Anthem he has is helmet under his left arm, and is standing basically, at "attention". I appreciate it, as do many

Matt Carle of the Lightning carries this same tradition from his days at the University of Denver.

I always got a chill seeing Army, Air Force and Navy teams lined up at attention along the blue line, not only for the anthem but for their alma maters after the games.

OMG how awesome was that?? I loved the clip of the Kings player calling his dad from the ice after they won.

Canadians are retiring ANOTHER number (#5 Guy LaPointe). When do they run out of nombres?

"@HeleneStJames: Per #RedWings GM Ken Holland, "it appears we've agreed to a one-year deal" with G Jonas Gustavsson. Official announcement coming soon."

*bangs head on wall*

It's getting tougher to say "In Kenny I Trust" lately. Unless this is just a backup plan in case Mrazak sh*ts the bed in training camp.

Coupled with Franzen still being on the roster despite his albatros contract... Ugh.

No, no. That's actually an OK move. We would rather Mrazek play 60 games in GRR for the final year of his rookie deal than 20 games in Detroit. Then next year he's re-signed at a reasonable rate to backup Jimmy for a couple of seasons, and eventually becomes the starter once Howard's contract becomes more trade-able.

You and I both know that this is where things are headed. Jimmy's got 2-3 more years to step up and get us over the Conference Semifinals hump, or he's out of here and remembered similar to Tim Cheveldae - "Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda". I'm not saying that that's fair, because he's a better goalie than Chevy ever was, but as it stands right now that's the legacy he's facing.

Also, Franzen makes $3.95 mil a year, and when he's healthy, he can still pot 20-30 goals a season. He may go through frustrating stretches of inconsistent play and will never backcheck, but he does alright offensively.

I still think the kids were a little young at D last season for the Wings. That and you guys got a rash of injuries. Babcock earned his paycheck steering them to the postseason. Hopefully your young guys step up. If they're anything like they were in Grand Rapids, the Wings will be fine.

They are still making a ****load of money at every game and teams are begging for outdoor games. Fans pay through the nose to attend in massive numbers. They are going to ride this money train as long as they can.

And though I live about a 30 minute subway ride from the venue I refuse to pay through the nose for an event managed by perhaps the least fan friendly organization in the NHL.
