2014 NCAA Frozen Four: Mercyhurst Lakers vs. Clarkson Golden Knights

Re: 2014 NCAA Frozen Four: Mercyhurst Lakers vs. Clarkson Golden Knights

but if there is one player that really stepped up, in my mind it was MacAuley. The way she played against BC was a great 200 foot game. The goal she scored today was an absolute beauty. Definitely a goal worthy being the championship clinching goal. Guess they can produce more than just potatoes on PEI. (Prince Edward Island).

The D as a whole also stepped up to fill the void, especially Renata Fast. She had a whale of a weekend.

MacAuley was fantastic against Harvard last month too. For a big player, she has a lot of finesse. Completely agree on Fast.

The Clarkson seniors have got a lot of deserved attention, but Fast, MacAuley and Ambrose are all current sophs, rising juniors. Those looking for a dropoff from Clarkson may have to wait a while.

They definitely have a good start of players who play Clarkson's style of play. It'll be hard to replace the group of seniors that are leaving and you have the experienced olympians returning to several teams. I haven't a clue about our recruits but I'm sure Matt and Shannon will put a quality team on the ice.

The first task will be getting another goalie to Howe's level. I'm sure you'll have a talented kid, but she won't have anywhere close to the same experience.
