2014-2015 Quinnipiac Bobcats: "I hear Boston is nice in April"

Re: 2014-2015 Quinnipiac Bobcats: "I hear Boston is nice in April"

...my point about it being a hostile environment still stands
Fargo is apparently already sold out so you know it will be full of North Dakota fans. Hostile?... maybe, but it beats playing in a dead building.

Re: 2014-2015 Quinnipiac Bobcats: "I hear Boston is nice in April"

As QUAlum pointed out we are being disciplined for last years absolutely atrocious showing at the Brideport Regional. I was so dissapointed with how the team play against PC I didnt say much about the attendance but lets just say neither the team or fans showed up in the slightest.

Bracket integrity doesnt matter to the NC$$ when it comes to money and they know they will sell the Providence region out now. Also for those wondering the ECAC representative on the committee was from Yale this year. All that put together and the result is us in Fargo. Oh well. Just remember the last time an ECAC team was a 4 seed sent out west.

We all know this team can win these two games. The problem is we also know we could be down 4-0 after the first period and bow out quite easily. Who knows what team will show up, I'm just happy they made it this year. Everything else will be icing on the cake. This team is young and no one expected them to be here. Time to find out how high the ceiling can be.

Im sure there will be some Q fans in the building with a lot of players living out west.

It is all about the money and has nothing to do with past performances. Anyone that thinks otherwise is a fool. Since Minnesota didn't show up in the Frozen Four Final against Union last year, maybe they shouldn't be in the tourney this year...

With Fargo already sold out, the committee tweaked things to try and make Providence a sellout as well. As a fan who wants to watch the team I'm upset, but I really like the bracket and think the team playing in a full barn can only help them.

It does have to do with past performances. If we sold out Bridgeport last year they wouldnt feel the need to go out of their way for the East region

Early game on a Friday is never easy. This year the committee sacrificed bracket integrity for attendance, plain and simple. I seriously doubt anyone in that room said "Q didn't show up in Bridgeport so let's send 'em out west this year".

The barn will be full of Sioux fans. :) BTW, I will be in Boston for the FF, and I think you should buy me a beer. :D

Having been to the old and new bards in Grand Forks I can say that college hockey in North Dakota is about as good as it gets except maybe Madison. Your guys will have a fantastic experience. I have no idea what the facility is like in Fargo, but the fans there are great.

As for Bridgeport, are you sure that doesn't have a lot to do with Bridgeport?

I'd love to see them take Bridgeport and Worcester out of the rotation and shoot for Brooklyn, Providence and Manchester and Portland, ME as regional sites.

I like anything that takes Bridgeport and Worcester out of the rotation

Is anyone planning on making the trip out to Fargo?

We have a group of Tech fans driving from Minneapolis to Fargo Friday morning. If anyone is flying into MSP and driving from there, feel free to join our convoy.

While I would love to go support my team, it's just not in the cards financially. :(

Anas not close to returning for the regional.
My guess, and this is just a guess, is that he'll make the trip (with his equipment) and if we make it to Saturday we might see him. At that point the stakes are just too high unless his injury is a lot more serious than any of us think.

On the other hand, we can absolutely win without him as well. Others will need to step up and I foresee the entire team playing Friday's game with more intensity than we've seen all year. Peca and Federico will inspire the guys and the coaches will have them ready to play.

Where can we get cheap QU t-shirts? Or anyone have a flag they wanted waved? I like to wave flags and we look forward to making UND fans angry. :)

The Quinnipiac book store has a clearance section that usually has some good deals. They have a Bobcat sweatshirt on sale for $12.99 currently.

I saw him in his sweats on Friday night. He had a very noticeable limp and possibly was using one of those braces that keeps the leg straight. As unfortunate it is for him and your team, I would wager that he only plays again if you guys make it to Boston.

The Bobcat shop on Sherman Ave is better than the book store. I think they have an online store too.

I'm sure not flying out East before I drive from Wisconsin to Grand Forks South. ;) I just can't see myself cheering for the Sioux in the second game so I'm hoping you guys have some fans over here that need helping yelling :D
