Real nice to see Rand and the staff tap into the Midwest Elite Hockey League where a lot of talented young players come from.

Tonight's game is absolutely freaking huge. They need this win badly for PWR. They have also been terrible at Bright Hockey Center posting a 2-9-1 record since 2005 with the last win there in December of 2010.

Re: 2014-2015 Quinnipiac Bobcats: "I hear Boston is nice in April"

Vernon Viper defenceman Luke Shiplo has verbally committed to play for the Quinnipiac University Bobcats beginning next NCAA hockey season.

Shiplo leads all Viper blue liners in points with 44, including five goals. The Oakville, Ont. product was named Viper Defenceman of the Year at the awards night Friday at Kal Tire Place. He will sign a letter of intent with the Bobcats in April.

"I flew down Sunday night and got a tour of the school Monday and it's incredible," said Shiplo, who de-committed from the Western Michigan Broncos last week. "The campus is beautiful with lots of green space and the school and facilities are high tech. The rink reminds me of Vernon's so it had a nice feel to it."

I agree that tonight is huge. Pairwise, league-wise... just win and everything else takes care of itself.

Tied for 11th in the pairwise though that may change depending on the outcome of the Minnesota-Michigan State game.

Great win tonight. Reports from Bright were that they, along with Harvard, were flying all night. Looked like we controlled the game for the most part. Our first goal on the PP was another beauty. Anas' dipsy-do in front of the net was sweet. Nice effort by Garts and the D. Just a well played game.

The announcers on the Harvard feed were talking about QU being able to take tomorrow night off having clinched the Cleary outright. I actually laughed out loud at that one. I think we'll see the same effort we saw tonight. Now is not the time to let off the accelerator.

I also found the announcers comment about tomorrow funny. I really miss our announcers when I watch feeds when they are away.

Congrats on being the sole winner of the Cleary Cup. That's a solid accomplishment.

You guys were the better team all night. After the first few minutes of the first period, you took control and never let up. Our D zone coverage was awful but that shouldn't detract from the pinpoint passing your guys displayed from D to the forwards. You never let up.

We can skate with you but our fundamentals are way below what they were in November and December. Hopefully we can return to that form for the playoffs.

I second that...Congrats !!
Thanks guys.

I was just glad to see us put up a 5-spot. We haven't been scoring as many as I think we should. If this is peaking at the right time, I'll take it.

Re: 2014-2015 Quinnipiac Bobcats: "I hear Boston is nice in April"

Last stop: Hanover.

Hard to believe tonight will be the last regular season game of 2014-15. Contrary to what the Harvard announcers speculated last night I don't believe we'll be taking the night off. I expect to see the same team that's been grinding it our over the last month. No let down from the boys in blue.

Go Q!

Anas was in a bit of a slump before last weekend. It would have been better for those of us who may play you again if it stayed that way but good scorers bounce back. The results last night were not good for the league overall in terms of at-large bids, but so goes it.
