2014-2015 Quinnipiac Bobcats: "I hear Boston is nice in April"

Student tickets were sold out in 10 seconds for the Yale game.

This is false. I know everyone is promoting this but its just not true. I logged on at 10 with everyone else and was prompted to the screen that said "Sold Out." Any veteran of the ticket process knows thats not true. So I kept clicking and refreshing and five mins later was rewarded for my efforts. Im sure there were 1200 people trying to get tickets in those 10 secs but the system still cant handle that much traffic.

The Brown sold out shortly after as well

I have my fingers crossed for tomorrow night. I'm over here sleeping on the floor of my new apartment because the movers can't come until tomorrow night. I'm just hoping that isn't a sign of tough luck!

Wish I could be standing mid-ice (best views are from SRO) watching tomorrow night. But I will be cheering those Bobcats on from sunny California!

Let's hope to bring that Cleary back to Hamden tonight.

Re: 2014-2015 Quinnipiac Bobcats: "I hear Boston is nice in April"

Keith Petruzzelli, a '99 committed to Quinnipiac, stole the show, making 28 saves to close the door on Malden Catholic and help his team keep an undefeated regular season record. He's big, he's quiet in net, he's square to shooters and he eats up pucks preventing second chances. His coach called him "the best goaltender in the world" after the game. Obviously, this observer hasn't seen every '99 goaltender in the world, but having seen many of the top '99 American goalies, there is not a better goalie in the United States at his age.

That was hurtful tie. Dropped from 10th to tied for 13th.

Re: 2014-2015 Quinnipiac Bobcats: "I hear Boston is nice in April"

I thought it was a pretty good game and the crowd was the best I've ever seen at the Bank. The students were awesome and almost all of them stayed until the very end. The thundersticks weren't as obnoxious as I thought they'd be...

Both teams played well at times and poorly at others. We seemed to carry the first, Yale the second, and were about even in the third. We might have had a slight edge in OT. Very similar to the game at Ingalls.

I hate leaving a point on the table but will take the tie and wait for Brown tomorrow.

Re: 2014-2015 Quinnipiac Bobcats: "I hear Boston is nice in April"

Thought Quinnipiac was really not very good tonight. Rand said postgame that they played immature, and I agree with him. They were panicking with the puck, their decision-making was awful, and Yale had them running around in their own end through most of the second half of the game. Really sloppy performance, and they're going to have to be better if they want to make noise in the postseason.

He said no, but I wonder if the atmosphere contributed to that with the younger guys? At the end of the day, neither team played to their potential. How do you miss a wide open net with the goalie totally out of position and then put the puck directly UNDER him? Probably fitting that both games ended in a tie.

On to tonight. Brown has won 4 in a row. Time to get back to Bobcats hockey and take care of our own business. It's senior night and the underclassmen need to make a statement of thanks to those four guys. Not to mention securing the Cleary cup.

Go Q!
