Really poor defensive effort, but they sure were dominant in puck possession. UMass had 22 blocks, I think I read. That's insane. Especially considering the Bobcats put 40 SOG. QU had the puck all night, just one of those games.

Really enjoyed the call of the game tonight on the video stream. Brooks Robinson was on color, and he was a lot of fun.

Federico was surely missed tonight. Hopefully he will be back in tomorrow night. Dill had a great game in goal for UMASS and deserved every bit of the win. I too enjoyed Brooks Robinson's commentary.

Hope tomorrow night is a different game!

Game day in Amherst.

Let's hope they rebound and take care of business tonight. They need to find a way to salvage a split out of the weekend. Mullins ice is almost Olympic size (200x95) so it may help our speedy offense. Of course, UMass showed plenty of speed last night themselves.

Defense needs to step up and help Gartieg. Even though he gave up 3 last night, he's been playing well enough for them to win, but he needs support in front.

As much as I want to, it looks like I won't be making the trip tonight.

Much, much better performance tonight. Lawrence was great in net, D looked solid, and everyone skated hard he entire game.

Left one on the table last night but a nice rebound tonight.

Slipped a spot in the poll back to 15th. Not too bad considering a bad loss to a bad UMass team. In the Pairwise we're in 17th (technically tied for 15th). Still too early for it to matter but shows that every game is important. Harvard seems to have snuck up on everyone so this weekend's game is huge.

The sneaking up ended when we beat BU last week. That got everyone's attention. And then of course the follow up win on Saturday at Lowell. No one should look past us going forward.

Chris Heisenberg doesn't even have him listed anymore. I knew something was up when I didn't even see him listed on Outside the Boards hockey prep preview for Salisbury. My money is him not being a Quinnipiac recruit anymore.

Word locally and around the Bank last week was that Muzyka was not coming to the Q any more. This could be townie here say but this was the last thing I heard from some people close to Matt and New Haven county prep hockey.

Big weekend coming up. Obviously many have circled Harvard as the must see game this weekend with them playing some quality hockey but Dartmouth won't be easy either, in fact if Q plays similarly to how they played Friday, they could be in for a rude awakening against two teams who are probably the hottest in the conference. Lawrence played well enough to get a go again this weekend but, Umass is not in the same league as Dart and Harv so Rand may rely on a familiar hand.

Should be fun…see you all up at 113 on Friday night! Students will be back and should be very vocal with two big ones on the hill.

Thanks for the update on Muzyka. He had to do something real dumb to not be at Salisbury and not be a Quinnipiac recruit anymore and to end up playing in the EHL.
