I have noticed over the years that USCHO is sometimes wrong on schedules and start times. My guess is that they enter the schedules at the beginning of the year, then changes may be made by the team or the conference, but USCHO doesn't pick up on the changes until the week of the games?

Hockey East is historically very accurate in the schedules (Hockey East Composite Schedule). I can't recall there ever being a schedule conflict from their site, only start time errors (and the only time I ever saw that was the Minny at BC game last Friday. Start was 6:00, HE had it at 7:00). I have actually seen a schedule date changed at the HE site and not announced until the next day by the teams and conference. This leads me to believe that the teams can't make any changes without informing HE first?

As I said earlier, we will be using the BU @ Merrimack game. For the majority of people who have put that down as a "Saturday" game, we will actually count the Friday result. If you would like to change your pick based on the updated knowledge, please do so by the normal deadline. For those that have already picked, you can leave your pick in the Saturday section (i will make the notation on my end). For those that have yet to pick (myself included) please try to put it under the Friday games, but it is not required, so long as you realize that you are actually picking a Friday game.

There were an awful lot of ties (5). It certainly helped out our pick % this weekend, as we went 66.67% as a group. 1988 was the big winner this week, putting up the first undefeated prediction (10-0-5) of the season. Moreover, 1988 was just 1 SOG away from taking the full 10 bonus points as well.

So, congratulations to NU_Husky for taking over the top spot in the overall rankings. Also, our overall correct pick % went up to a strong 58.69% after a second consecutive strong week. Given the difficulty of the games that we predict, I think anything over 60% is pretty good. Siouxfaninseattle maintains the lead in pick % with a healthy 66.29%. Others in the mix are: darker98 (64.76%), NU_Husky (64.07%), Driftryder (63.33%), 97osu (63.33%), Laker Dude (62.59%), and 1988 (61.02%). In order to be eligible for the best pick % award at the end of the season, the predictor must have attempted at least 60% of the total predictions (currently, that would be 81 predictions out of 135 total (does not include bonus points)).

I'll have the Week 10 games posted later tonight, so for those of you who help out with selecting games, please do your best to have your games to me by say 6:00pm Eastern tonight. For those of you who have already sent me your games, thank you again. It makes doing this a whole lot easier.
