Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh what the actual Christ did Haley Skarupa have to do to be put on EITHER of these lists??

Re: 2014-2015 D-I All-Americans

I thought that the job Matt Desrosiers did with Clarkson this year trumps what the BC coach did with the talent she had. However she is still deserving of the honor so congrats to her.

And I have nothing but praise for the All American teams. Well deserved by all and congrats.

Scanlon with Bemidji State should be right up there as well.

The Skarupa omission is glaring isn't it?

Congratulations To Brittni Mowat!! (and to Amsley-Benzie).
And to all the Gophers, of course!

Congrats to all.

I intentionally avoided any subjectivity in the first two posts announcing the news. Adding that now, I completely agree with everything KTDC just said.

If I had to call out another omission (not already mentioned), I would have made Chelsea Laden the second-team goaltender.

probably should have kept it that way

apparently not everything

I would have made Chelsea Laden the second-team goaltender
uh, ...no
Laden: faced 16.6 shots per game, GAA 1.19, 93% save (tied for #12 in country)
Amsley-Benzie faced 25.6 shots per game, GAA 1.21, 95.2% save (#1 in country by far)

if anything Amsley-Benzie got robbed of being the first team goalie

Re: 2014-2015 D-I All-Americans

and when you look at the goal tending stats, it is obvious there is less scoring in the WCHA
the goal tending stats are dominated by WCHA
is it really better goal tending?
better blue liners in front of them?
less talented forwards (or maybe the forwards also play very stiff D)?

apparently the commitee picking the All America team think it is better goal tending while having fewer high talented forwards

Re: 2014-2015 D-I All-Americans

There were "clearly" four forwards who set themselves apart this year. Dynamic duos from both Minnesota and BC. Three of the those four made either 1st or 2nd team All-American. Seriously, how does the 2nd leading scorer not at least make the 2nd team?
