2014-2015 College Football Thread: A New Era Begins..

Oh, and the cash a program can generate at the D1-A level even in the MAC or CUSA dwarfs what they are going to make in D-1AA. There's a reason other programs like UTSA and UND have made the jump.

UND is not FBS, they are in the Big Sky conference.
Yeah,, money trumps all in your mind I guess.
You think Gameday would be going there if they were a MAC or CUSA school?
No chance in hell.
They have recognition because they've been beating FBS schools as an FCS power and winning National titles, not 2nd tier conference crap.

Re: 2014-2015 College Football Thread: A New Era Begins..

Why should they move up?
They can win national titles at that level, they move up, that dream is gone unless one of the big-5 conferences takes them and that **** sure won't happen.
So let's see, win National titles or be satisified winning C-USA....hmmm...tough choice.

Don't tell Bison fans any of that, they might challenge you to a fight for daring to question NDSU. Alabama is running scared from the mighty Thundering Herd! And the Big Ten would've taken them over Rutgers!

I am a Bison fan.
No way any football power schedules them anyway, if they lose, even with the playoff, season's over.
I'd love to see them against a Michigan or Alabama, but it will never happen.

No wonder you're such a bobo for them.

Omg. This is too good. They would get run over by Alabama. It would be a 50-point slaughter.

It probably would be, and i'm not arguing that *******.
I'm saying the game would never be scheduled because of the what-if factor.
Lose to an FCS team, no matter their stature, the season is done and no power school would take that chance.

Re: 2014-2015 College Football Thread: A New Era Begins..

Hopefully not like 75% of the "Bison fans" who have become fans in the last three years. On the plus side those 75% will abandon them beginning this year like rats off a sinking ship.

No, you're still not getting it. Alabama has no issues scheduling NDSU. There is no what if with them. The only what ifs when it comes to teams like Alabama are with top tier football teams. Alabama has lost seven times since 2009 and they did this playing the best college football has to offer (for 75% of the season).

The reason they don't schedule teams like that is because NDSU won't schedule them or the teams won't agree on terms of the contract.

I love listening to Ohio State fans' collective meltdown right when it becomes clear they're not winning their expected National Championship. It's amazing how they expect to dominate competitive teams.

Re: 2014-2015 College Football Thread: A New Era Begins..

Therein lies the problem.

People screamed and whined that Grand Valley needed to go D1 when they dominated D2 ball with four championships from 2002-2006. They didn't, and all of a sudden without Brian Kelly and Chuck Martin, they're not so dominant these days.

Well there's proof for ya.
DX HAS SPOKEN!!!!

You're right, because no one else has chimed in on a Sunday in an online forum for college hockey, THE NATION HAS SPOKEN. WE LOOOOOOOOOVE THE BISON!

My mistake.

Who else here is claiming the Bison need to move up to the FBS level?
Who else here seems to have a problem with them dominating where they are and claiming it's like beating 12 year olds?
Who else here is making the claim that being a MAC or CUSA school is better than winning titles at a level lower than FBS?
Only one I see doing that...is you.
