Who cares? The Vikings shouldn't be expected to be good. They have exactly one player worth anything (AP) on offense, and one on defense (JA). The rest are has been, never was, and rookies. 8-8 would be a miracle.

Sounds like it was a bigger decision than just his. Also, calling them Washington or Washington's football team is still accurate. Really he should say Washington D.C. since the other would be Seattle?

Sounds like a non-issue really, unless of course you are a Redskin fan, or are not a fan of over the top PC things.

The only issue I have with this is that King, along with other people who don't like the nickname, feels the need to tell us all that he's no longer going to use the nickname. Just stop using it and people will hardly even notice. There is no need to justify or explain yourself other than an attempt to bring attention upon yourself.

There is a movement, which despite the owner's attempts, is gaining ground. One way to grow support is to publicize it. That's exactly what King is doing.
