2013 Early Departures

Re: 2013 Early Departures

We are all used to it by now, but he could have just as easily said "I am going to let this loss sink in over the next few days and evaluate my options." People give non-answers all the time, especially athletes.
Yes, because a college kid who is severely hurt due to the potential his team had in this tournament, is thinking about ways to avoid talking about his pro career just moments after his season ends.

Re: 2013 Early Departures

From what I saw of Sustr I wasn't overly impressed. Seen him six times live, countless on TV (yet none at the X, weird...) and he was an ok collegiate player. Of course he is a tall drink of co... er... water and you can't teach size, so enjoy Syracuse

He has actually been quite impressive so far with the Lightning...although considering the Lightning defense this season..the bar has been set low

Re: 2013 Early Departures

@LetsPlay_Hockey: F Marshall Everson (Edina, MN/Harvard) has signed an amateur tryout agreement with the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals.

Everson just finished his 4th season at Harvard, not exactly in early departure.

Re: 2013 Early Departures

"Early departures" means "NFL draft," not busting out of college, I assume [Wow, that's a sad assumption!]. So some program loses players before graduation to NHL hockey? BFD.
The current frozen FOUR roster includes just 15 players who are currently NFL draft picks. Current LOSERS in the NCAA DI championship include Minnesota (15 draft picks), North Dakota (14 draft picks), Notre Dame (12 draft picks), and Michigan (11 draft picks).
What's up?

Um, what? Who are the 15 NFL drafted players?

Not an early departure, but Detroit signs Coreau.
He was a junior so it's considered an early departure.

Kind of been quiet the past few days. I guess that's a good thing.

Who are the 15 NFL drafted players?

Quinnipiac, kellan jones, Matthew peca, Jordan Thomas Samuels
Yale, rob o gara, Gus young, Kenny agostino, Clint boubbanins

None of them are NFL draft picks.

Re: 2013 Early Departures

Rather than respond from a position of confessed ignorance ("Who are the 15 NFL drafted players?") why don't you do your homework? Google "draft picks current college hockey players".
Hahahaha you struggle with the alphabet it seems. I'm well aware of which NCAA players have been drafted by the NHL.

Since you said NFL twice, maybe people thought it was intentional. You are, like, a next-level thinker, man.
