The beginning of the end of Saban at Alabama?

I'm pretty sure we discussed this a couple months back, but this looks awfully familiar.

I'm committed to LSU. I'm not going to the Miami Dolphins...
I'm an NFL coach. I'm not going to be the next coach at Alabama...
I'm very committed to Alabama...

I don't think he leaves.

Everywhere he's gone has been a step-up, except for the Dolphins to Bama, but that was because he wasn't doing well in the NFL. Now? He's a god. He's won three championships and in perfect position to win four. He's created an unbeatable dynasty in the top conference in the country. There's nowhere to go from here, he's won, he's beat the system. The only thing Texas can give him is more money, though I'm sure Bama would be willing to match it.

That said, while I don't think he leaves, I certainly won't be surprised if he does.

This is kind of how I feel too.. The only reason I could see him going to Texas is to "be challenged" again and build Texas into Alabama..

There is also a point at which the message gets old...for the team and the school. And he might just be a ramblin man...maybe he doesn't care about Spartans or Dolphins or Elephants and only cares about the challenge and the rush of building.

Somewhere between Kiffin and Paterno is a good time to move on.

And don't forget the original I'm committed to Michigan State.

Based on the two schools who have more football revenue, then the track will be Michigan (which is like the LSU to Alabama move), and THEN Texas, where he is thrown $10-20M/ year. It's not as if they have any better reason to spend all of that football money. The players surely don't see it. ;)

Great lineup on tap tonight, folks. I'm excited to see the Oregon O vs. Stanford D matchup. I think Baylor could win big.

Re: 2013 DI BCS Thread: Thorthu Thame ish bacth!

The matchup I wanted to see for 2 seasons was Alabama-Oregon. Well, after watching 3 quarters of this, I think I have my answer.

If he leaves for Texas and says its because he wanted a challenge then its about the money. If he really wants a challenge he'd go to Kansas.
