I can't wait for Thursday, this Gaudreau line is making me nervous though. Go Union !
I'm fine with Ghost not being a finalist, it gives him more reason to come back next season!Somehow, I don't see the Flyers letting him leave Philly without a signed contract.
Actually I'm a bit worried about that as a potential distraction for him. I think the same thing was going on behind the scenes two years ago with Jeremy Welsh in Tampa and it may have effected his play in the semi. Hopefully I'm wrong, I usually am.

Just got permission from the better half to make a day trip down to the games on Thursday. Where is the Union pre-game? Really debating about grabbing a seat now rather than saving a few bucks by going the last minute street seller route( with it's inherent risks) I will be rooting Union all the way and hope they can make it a repeat for the ECAC!

That is officially my biggest worry: i.e. the 3rd D-pair against the Hobey Line. Henry can be a turnover waiting to happen and, as you note, BC will have the last line change so this will inevitably happen. I like Charlie V and his size will be key against forwards like Hayes, but he can get worn down chasing faster players in his own zone. Hopefully the coaches can limit the times this will happen and Colin can come up with a big save or two. It's making YOU nervous?
I'd like to think that Union just needs to focus on containing that line and everything else will be fine, but since BC gets the last change, who defends that line for Union is almost out of the coaches' control. That said, I like all 4 Union lines and 2 of the 3 D-man pairings when on defense. The only other D-man pairing can make me a little nervous, but they've all been picking things up in their own zone pretty well in the postseason.
DROP THE PUCK ALREADY!!!
Here is the information about the Union pre-game:
Hope to see you there (and thanks for the support)!
Just picked up a nosebleed seat for short money, also registered for the pre-game. Will be the only idiot in a sea of garnet with a Yale jersey on.

One thing I don't expect to be a factor is the "wow, it's great just to be here" mindset. I have to think there was at least a bit of that the first time around. This team has a deep well of character and determination. They have faced and overcome adversity all season. Yes, I am afraid of BC's explosiveness, but we belong on this stage. That doesn't mean we are going to win, but neither will this team quit until the final horn. This team is on a mission.
This area has always been about basketball, but I agree that the focus has changed. All it took was number one ranking in the country and national semifinals to get there. One thing I have noticed more of this year is how there is so much more local media coverage about this team. I don't know if that's because of the #1 ranking in the poll and their accomplishments this year, but I find it hard to go more than a day or so without someone talking about them.

The NY, NJ and Philly area is loaded with alums. My palms are getting sweaty.
Make no mistake, they are the best line in the nation. Bennett said so as well in his last press conference. We are going against the #1 Program in College Hockey over the past decade, the #1 line and the #1 player. BC is the Benchmark. This will be another opportunity for the Dutchmen to benchmark themselves against the very best. Going up against the very best. A chance to play BC and perhaps make a statement about themselves and the character of this team. We will see.
