Brown should have won this game but I agree this team will be a tough out in March.

I saw in the box score the attendance was only 916 - is that possible? If so, why so low?

It looked very full on the stream. Had to be 1916.

As Schotts said in his recap, this was not a typical Brown-Union game. Very fun to watch, but a disappointing outcome on our end.

The attendance last night was officially 1,921. I'm not sure where the 916 came from.

I think tonight's crowd will be even bigger than last night's.

I haven't been to a game in a while. What has the student section been looking like? Back when I was in school, it was pretty much filled for every game and that was back when we had never even made it to the ECAC Final 4. I'd like to think that Messa would be rockin (especially section Q) every single night since we have one of the best hockey teams in the country.

The student section always adds something to the atmosphere, but I miss seeing people run up and down the aisles waiving the flag after a goal. The band does a good job as well, though sometimes it gets out-powered by bigger visiting school bands.

Biggest weekend of the year coming up ..... Cornell has only lost one at home, against QU early in the year. Colgate embarrassed us lastime out.

THANK YOU ST. LAWRENCE !!!!!

HUUUGE weekend for Union, but we're still #4 in the Pairwise. Ferris State somehow moved ahead of us. A big thank you to SLU for beating Quinnipiac! The 3 point lead in the standings is nice, but still isn't 100% comfortable. Gotta keep winning. Let's go U!

Way effen more!!!!! More beyond belief.

Yeah, Way effen more!! Waaaaaay! There is no doubt in my mind either that Union is the better team between UC and QU.

We had 12 PM's in the third, so it was good for a heart attack or two, but we still found a way to score two goals and take the W.

Re: 2013-2014 Union Dutchmen - Can U Three Peat? (Part II)

After Friday's game, which I thought U was inconsistent and loose defensively, was not totally prepared for what I saw tonight. May have been the best effort by the team this season and a well deserved victory over a very good opponent. Boys finished hits, won puck battles and moved their feet all night.. and were even good at the faceoff dot!! Stevens may want a couple of those goals back but.. that save near the end of the 1st period was the one of the best I've ever seen.. incredible! Real team effort and great to see Theo get his first goal at a HUGE moment in the game. Big congrats to the team on what was a challenging group of 4 games.

A big 2 points and, unless something really unprecedented happens, this all but clinches a top 4 in the league, which at this point is all that really matters. Next weekend at Gate and Cornell will be very challenging too.. as it should be. This was a fantastically entertaining weekend of hockey against 2 very good opponents and is a real credit to the ECAC.

Ok, had a couple extras. I will be there. See you tomorrow night.
A pleasure meeting you last night John! Great place as well as the food and drink. I wish Yale showed up in the third period, it was a great game up until then. Furious action all night. Union goalie made the difference as well as the teams finishing prowess on rebounds in the third where Yale just looked tired at points. See U in a few weeks.
