Congratulations on winning the National Championship. What a moment, be proud and enjoy the ride. It's an incredible feeling. To all the Union fans that matter, patience pays off in big ways.

Congrats Dutch on an extremely well earned and deserved title. Could not be happier for your program, the first one IS the best!! Savor it. :)

I have some random thoughts about this season.

It’s impossible to be more proud of this team. It’s impossible to be happier for these players who made this awesome season a reality. Thank you team, coaches, and support staff.

For some of us, this championship has been a lifetime in the making. I saw my first game as a first grader. I remember the splendor of the Harkness days and the dark ages that followed. I remember watching the replacement players finishing that season with maybe 100 fans cheering them on. I’m grateful and thankful that those players and Coach Driscoll kept the program alive. I’m sure that this championship takes some the sting out of such a hopeless situation.

I remember watching Charlie Morrison breathing life back into this program. Those first years couldn’t have been darker. However, Coach Morrison made everything OK and brought the program back to national prominence. I was at most of those RIT games. I was crushed when he died. Thank you Coach Morrison for what you did for Union hockey. I wish he could have watched last night’s game.

In short, for long-time fans and past players, this championship is a catharsis for many bad memories (i.e. Rodger Hull and 40%, …) and hopefully the first of more national titles. I’m a very happy human.

Way to go U. This was a team that was easy to root for and it was great to see them finish it off in style.

One thing that amused me before the game was the arrogance and cockiness of some of the Gopher fan posters here. "You mean we get to play UNION for the title? :D "

I mean why even bother to play the game? Why not just them the trophy so they can catch an earlier flight home?

7 goals on the #1 ranked team, and one SOG for every 45 students. Hubris kills.

"The Ghost" stood out when you played here - he won a well-deserved honor - but it was clear this was a TEAM.

Well, I offer congrats to all Union fans except you. We earned our tArrogance and pride with MN's past. So bite me.

Union flat out beat us last night. They deserve the title.

Wow. I remember sitting through 3-26-3. to see the program win this trophy is an amazing accomplishment. to my old friends at the Messa, thanks for helping make this possible. How do you think Hull is feeling now? 40 percent this, pal.
 
I'm still in a state of shock from last night! Especially after being part of the program from 99-01! Hard to imagine this is even possible looking back at those days!
