Friday Update:

Shirtless Bob was the big winner last night, going 5-0 with his picks. Nobody else did better than 3-2, with the average being just over 2-3.

Both bonus questions are now halfway (at least day-wise) complete. There were 26 non-conference goals last night, putting most of our group in position to gain at least some points tonight with 9 games on tap (if the average from last night continues, we'll wind up with 71-72 goals scored). In WCHA play, there were 9 "special teams" goals scored, including 2 extra attacker goals.

Good luck to everyone tonight, and good luck to Shirtless Bob, as he looks to become only the third "perfect" predictor this season (and the first since Week 2).

I just thought I'd post a quick update. I'm finishing my finals tomorrow and Tuesday, so I will not have scores tabulated and the next round of games up until Wednesday morning. Of course, those games won't take place until late December, so everyone will have a little over a week to get their picks in.

We're essentially halfway through the season. Our average correct pick % is 54.78%. That has improved since Week 8 when we were 52.54%. Generally, that number improves in the second half of the season as we become more familiar with teams and the like. I believe last year as a group we finished right around 60% before tournament time, when we collectively **** the bed.

Keep in mind as well that points go up in the second half of the season (from 2 points per correct pick to 4 points...bonus generally remains the same), so anyone can still walk away the winner!

WEEKLY RULES:
1) All picks must be in by the drop of the puck of the FIRST game in the bunch. This week, that is FRIDAY, DECEMBER 27 at 1:30pm Eastern!
2) No late picks will be allowed. No exceptions. This means that if you post your picks on that Friday at 1:40pm Eastern, you will not receive credit for your picks.
3) Do NOT pick a tie. If you do, you will lose 4 points.
4) All correct picks will earn 4 points (unless stated otherwise). If a game ends in a tie (regardless of shootout), you will receive 2 points, unless you picked a tie, in which case you will LOSE 4 points. DO NOT PICK A TIE.
5) If you see a mistake within these rules based on the games selected, please note it as soon as possible. If not pointed out by Monday, December 23 at 8:00pm (Eastern), the mistake will stay, and I will interpret the mistake as soon as possible.
6) Anyone can play. You do not have to continue to predict after this week. You didn't have to predict last week.
7) If you update your picks before the deadline, please post in this thread to let me know of the changes.

If you continue at that rate though (and everyone else continues at their current rate) you'll move up the standings quickly thanks to the bump in points for getting games picked correctly in the second half.

FWIW, 61 correct predictions is tied for 3rd most currently, and you are one of four "regulars" that are have a 60% or higher correct pick percentage.
