Scary moment as @SurreyEagles F Jonah Renouf suffered a freak hit to the head. Glad to hear he is awake and responsive in hospital.

That sounds pretty serious. Hopefully he is ok and it's more precautionary than anything else.

Jonah Renouf has tweeted, " he is under good care, awake, and responsive". A further tweet stated that he was sorry to scare everyone and thanked everyone for the well wishes.

Congrats Q fans on the W last night. I think my Black Bears put in a good effort. Became clear late in the 3rd who was the stronger team. Seen some classy comments from some of you in our thread. Thanks and good luck the rest of the way!

Of course they did! It's Maine!

Great to see everyone last night and huge shoutout to Dad for driving down. I had to work the morning shift and I was getting a little stressed when the snow was moving out. Luckily it stopped pretty much at the perfect time. Roads from Maine were pretty clear and it was a pretty good ride overall.

Not a bad effort from QU last night, but like I told Schvatz and Thx I need the Bobcats to start scoring more. I do have faith in Garteig, but the post season will be all new to him, so the team is going to have to rely on some offense.

So glad that JST scored the winner. Love that kid. I was hoping for a bit more out of his celebration, but they all can't be like the Dartmouth OT winner. I might be able to make it out of work early on Tuesday - If so I'll be at Harvard.

I think we'd all like to see that, but as long as they get one more than the other guys, I can live with that.

Garts will be fine. He showed a lot last night. As long as the D does there job, he will do his.

There's a very slight, miniscule chance I may head to Cambridge on Tuesday myself. Not making any promises, but it's on my list.

It's nice when a hockey game can being people together! I just had to share in the spirit of togetherness with a recent study from a Qunnipiac Professor of Economics that many Mainers can appreciate:

"A study by Mark Gius, an economist at Quinnipiac University, shows states with restrictive concealed weapons laws had higher gun-related murder rates, and that assault weapons bans had no real impact on murder rates at the state level.

“These results suggest that restrictive concealed weapons laws may cause an increase in gun-related murders at the state level,” Gius wrote in his summary."

the game from the sidelines.

Surrey and Penticton just swapped players.
Nic Pierog to the Vees, Anthony Conti to the Eagles.

Surprised Pierog hasn't committed.

2015-16 recruit Chase Priskie has left Selects Academy 18U and is now playing for the Fargo Force in the USHL. Should get some good experience playing in the premier tier 1 junior league in the United States over the next year and half.

Ken, I think the surprise in the BCHL is that Adam Rockwood hasn't committed anywhere yet. He is tied for 5th in scoring and leads the league in assists at 41. He doesn't score a ton of goals but he really looks to be a play maker and sets others up.

I think I mentioned this in an earlier thread....if a kid goes uncommitted and he hasn't played major junior the reason is usually poor grades.
I've heard Rand say he is just as proud of the Bobcats scholastic achievements as he is of their on ice record.

As for Pierog, not sure what's up there. I know for a fact there are schools interested.
