Or were you referring to the fact that they had it mislabeled as Steve Yzerman's retirement ceremony?

Supposedly the ceremony was available to stream on Game Center Live everywhere except for the US or Canada. :mad: My biggest complaint is how the NHL handles the blackout for the NHL Network. I wish they were more like the MLB.

That would be the cable company's fault I think. I've pretty much given up trying to figure out the NHL and the cable and satellite companies, especially when it comes to the Leafs on the Center Ice package. The game against the Rangers this week was on TSN, but only available in standard def on DirecTV. :mad:

Center Ice is really odd. Between the usual blackouts (is the game on NHL-Net/NBC family? Blacked out), and the lack of HD other than the one channel Comcast devotes to it here, I'd rather pay for Game Center Live. I've never heard of Center Ice ever offering any Canadian feed in HD or offering the Canadian feed when a US team and feed is available. Which makes GCL a better value (IMO).

MLB.tv worked out a deal this year that allows US viewers to watch every game except the Sunday Night ESPN baseball game. Which I'm perfectly fine with. Even before that, the only games blacked out were the Sunday ESPN and Saturday FOX games. I hate that the NHL Network games are blacked out. If an out of market game is being broadcast by the local team along with the national simulcast, I should be able to watch the local feed on Game Center Live.

There's a contingent of Hawks fans on hfboards who do the same thing to Crawford. Even after last year's playoffs.

You know, coz no other goalies ever let in a softie here or there.

I can't go on the game threads.

I do get the occasional Leafs feed (TSN, Sportsnet, LeafsTV) in HD, but it's hit or miss. I've considered GCL, but wonder about buffering with my DSL service. However, I didn't have too many issues watching NBC's Olympics coverage on my desktop.

I can see why they called it, in real speed it looks like he didn't try to stop, wasn't tripped up and he slammed into Lehtonen.
No benefit of replay for the refs on that.

Rich Peverley collapses on Dallas bench. He has a history of heart problems, but Blue Jackets broadcasters say he is conscious. Never seen an arena so quiet. :(

UPDATE: Peverley concious as he was taken to hospital. Discussion on whether game will resume

I turned over to the Dallas feed on GCL and rewound to see when it happened. I almost got sick watching the players reactions. And that was after I read on Twitter that he was alert and being moved to the hospital.

Oh, and Daryl Reaugh, Ralph Strangis, and Fox Sports Southwest better be nominated for a broadcast Emmy next year for their work during the delay. The crowd shots, the lack of replays until more was known, and the silence from Daryl and Ralph until they knew more was great.

No blabbing. No guessing what was going on. Just sharing the emotion of the moment.

Good to hear that Lindy said he'll be OK. Scary situation to be sure. Malarchuk was SCARY

The doctor who attended to Rich Peverley says he used the defibrillator to revive Peverley...then Peverley wanted to go back in the game.

Hockey players.

Peverley was defibrillated, but Per Dr. Salazar, Peverley was aware of where he was when became conscious and wanted to get back in to the game.

He was on the bench when he collapsed
