Good info, thanks. How are these schedules drawn up -- is it centrally within HE, or do the individual athletics departments negotiate the individual matchups pairwise with each other school?

I'm hoping that the HE schedules this year put more BC/BU and BC/NU games towards the end of the season rather than having the BC/BU series over before Thanksgiving and the BC/NU series over a week into January.

As I understand it the coaches are the ones who put together the out of conference games around the league schedule.

Re: 2013-14 D-I Schedules

So does that mean the Hockey East master schedule has been drawn up, since presumably it was available to UNH? Any idea when that master schedule gets released, or do we go on a school-by-school basis?

I don't ever remember hockey east releasing a master schedule prior to this year for the men, and never for the women before?

They don't...basically the schedule of conference games remains "constant" and is tweeked by the coaches to fit particular needs.

So that means the BC/BU games will be frontloaded again? Seems like a missed opportunity to make the end of the season more exciting.

Am I reading that right? A home/home with bu on the same weekend? That is insane!

It would be one thing if it were a Friday and Sunday affair, but that shows back to back days and 18 hours between games. Thus, it must be wrong.
