Maybe Floyd will wise up and realize he should split the terms with Manny instead of not fighting at all.

He has been repeatedly struck in the head during his life, I wouldn't hold my breath about that.

Was the $110 mill, before or after taxes?? If before, he has a bit less, but in any event, he can now offset $2.9M in losses against any gains he's made on the tables or books.

His value was like $110-115 million as of last year...after he had made $85 million in that calender year.

Needless to say, he's not good with money.

Stressful day in Chicago for Iowa, but a young team prevailed. Two new coordinators, a new offensive system(well, sort of..) and a lot to work on and learn from; which is always easier after a win.

Think it's a tossup on whether the Big Ten or ACC had the worst weekend. Wake Forest and Maryland hold on for last second wins over FCS teams, future ACC Pitt gets hammered by YSU. NC State looked awful last night. Big Ten had close calls by Iowa vs. NIU and Wisconsin against well, NIU of Iowa, Penn State dropping one to Ohio and whatever that was that Michigan was trying earlier.

The Pac12 wasn't exactly lights out either. Stanford beat San Jose State by a field goal while Cal opens their new stadium with a 7 point loss to Nevada. Wazzou opens the Leach era getting killed by BYU and Colorado loses to Colorado State. Washington didn't exactly dominate San Diego State and Arizona needs OT to hold off Toledo. Granted USC and Oregon did what they were expected to, and UCLA, ASU, and Utah managed to decisively beat their warmups, and Oregon State avoided trouble with a postponed game.

Getting 15 scholarships taken for 3 years for giving Bush's parents a condo while Penn St. gets the same penalty for 5 years? Something doesn't add up. The NCAA will go whipping boy on USC soon enough.

That was for having a coach working with an agent. UNC had a department that basically didn't exist that huge chunks of their players took classes in, but apparently because regular students could also take non-existant classes, they broke no NCAA rules. Go figure.
