2012-2013 Hockey Schedules

Re: 2012-2013 Hockey Schedules

Thanks. One of the WCHA pods this year is CC/DU/UND/SCSU. Anyone know the other two?

Also, would it be a fair assumption that UML plays at DU on October 19th and AFA plays at DU on the 20th?

Hmmm... I figured this would have been more like a UML/UNH switch-off... but that's mostly because its been mentioned as a possibility behind the scenes for years (the opponents differed but UML/UNH was a constant).

That's quite possible. I believe Yale was involved two years ago (hence the skating circles thread) and Union I believe this past year. However, given CC is playing AF, and I highly doubt UML would travel west for one game with CC, perhaps DU is also involved.

Re: 2012-2013 Hockey Schedules

I was hoping to wait until after the national championship, but since we're already talking about it...

I have taken the liberty of putting all of the games together onto one master schedule:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AjrUzfoOPCB5dHBkczZYYUMwUHBBdGRFc3dGRVBNN0E#gid=0

New additions this year include the addition of Penn State to the list of teams, as well as a list below of expected opponents. That way, just move it up to the appropriate date (adding a row for the appropriate date as necessary). Also, because there were a few "stubborn" Wolverine fans last year (with relation to this spreadsheet, no comment on any form of stubbornness during hockey games), I have changed most "Michigan" references to "Mich", while changing "Michigan Ann Arbor" to "Michigan". I did something similar with the Minnesota and UMASS schools (although UMASS still has Amherst in the title), but removed the hyphen so we have a bit of consistency.

Just like last year, the spreadsheet is open for edit, so go ahead and insert who you're playing, remember to reciprocate for the opponent on the specific games, and please try to use the names that I have given at the top (copy and paste from the bottom if you can), as this will help to count the number of in-conference and non-conference games. Bold is home, italic is neutral site, and plain is away, and don't forget about the parentheses for any exemptions your team is allotted, as well as "NC" should you be playing a conference opponent in a non-conference game. It's all explained in the spreadsheet; you should be able to understand it.

UNH goes out there later in the season. It looks like the Denver Cup probably won't happen, so it looks like they'll be doing another CC (or Air Force) game-share, similar to the travel partners in the ECAC.
