Whatever happened to realignment? I thought the Wild and the Hawks were supposed to end up in the same division.

I want that to happen.

Chicago, Minnesota, St. Louis, Detroit & Winnipeg. That's my wish.

Don't ever need to play Nashville or Columbus again - at least as divisional opponents.


Good start today for the Hawks although the Kings were sleepwalking.

If that happened, I'd be a bigger Wild fan.* Still wouldn't shake my Devils as #1 but it'd be closer.

*citing sports fan rules about a team leaving a city/adopting another team

Basically, it was tabled for further argument at a later date. There was an article in the Detroit paper early last week in which Ken Holland mentioned that he would approve of a recently proposed 8-team conference which consisted solely of teams in the Eastern and Central Time Zones. I assume it would be DET, CHI, STL, NSH, CBJ, MIN, WPG, and DAL.

Wild owner (Leipold) was on the radio this week, and basically guaranteed realignment. He said that it has already been approved by owners, and he didn't see that the players had much of a say after the agreement was reached, whatever that means.

I'm still a bit annoyed that we let Hos slip away, even if his playoff efforts are average at best.

Realignment will happen. Minnesota, Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, Nashville, Dallas, Winnipeg, and Columbus will be in a division, I believe.

Edit: In short, what F2BG said. :D

Listening to AM 1040 Vancouver and they're wondering if Corey Schneider's reign as starting goalie is already over. If it lasted all of 26 minutes.

This isn't some emotional fan, this is the radio host.

No wonder these people (fans) freak out if their radio guys are already bringing this up. Holy nervous poop!

Gotta love 'em out there. The BC Beasters must be anxiety inducing.

I've listened to the VAN radio guys a few times, and they are normally rational (they even condemned Bertuzzi at the moment of impact, no pun). So......huh. Wow.

They've grown pretty erratic in the past couple of years as the perceived window of opportunity is closing and the air of inevitability of a Cup is disappearing like a fart on the wind.

Being the hater that I am, I have enjoyed listening to them the day after elimination the past few years and during the riots.

Can't remember who it was, but one of the NHL talking heads predicted Schneider would not be the answer in Vancouver anymore than Luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu. He's looking prophetic after tonight.

Wild fans: What have you heard about the Wild moving their AHL affiliate Houston Aeros to a new city? The Houston Rockets and the Toyota Center aren't too keen on keeping the Aeros as tenants, and since the Wild own a majority stake of the Wild, they have control of the franchise.

A couple rumored locations are Sioux Falls, SD; Fargo, ND; and latest in Duluth, MN.
