I like your thinking!...It's like if NBC just went off the air for a few months
...and then expected to get better ratings when they came back on.
Don't remember it at all...but, you're right it was probably better than that Taylor Swift one...does anyone else remember the parody of "the reason" from the first lockout? i think it was called "season screwed" but i'm not entirely sure. i can't find it anywhere, and it was MUCH better than some taylor swift ****

Prove it.Me farting "O Canada" is better than anything Taylor Swift did.
Prove it.

The NHL Office should have asked for signing bonuses.... Bob McKenzie unveiled his all signing bonus team the other day on TSN. If you go over there, look for Insider Trading for 9/18.Well, now it's officially done damage.
All preseason games through September 30 canceled. Also, all NHL staff get a 20 percent pay cut and a 4-day work week to boot. Not to mention the arena workers, mascots, etc.
I hope Gary Bettman gets Vladimir Konstantinov's limo driver.
I'm hesitant to blame Bettman for this personally, whether in the form of jokingly wishing bodily harm on him or otherwise; he works for the owners and he's just doing what they tell him to.I hope Gary Bettman gets Vladimir Konstantinov's limo driver.

I understood it as the NHL offices in NYC/Toronto were affected by the four day work week and 32 hrs pay. Each individual club is left on their own as to how they will pay (or not pay) their individual staffs. Hence Ottawa laying everyone off, Florida laying (the man under) Stanley C. Panther off, etc.Yeah, I kinda figured I'd be going to hell for that one.
What really chaps my *** is the 20 percent pay cut to staff. Some innocent secretary out in Edmonton now might not be able to pay her rent because the owners/NHLPA/Bettman can't get their act together.
