Is Lindenwood trying to be a WCHA member? Is it just me or does just about all of them have a home and home with Lindenwood? I would much rather see some more East/West match ups.

The WCHA teams are likely the shortest trip for the Lions. They play five of the WCHA teams (MSU, SCSU, UND, OSU and UW) with the first two being both a home and a road series. It doesn't look like Lindenwood's schedule BSU, UM or UMD this year.

I'm guessing that the open weekend of November 10th-11th is due to the Four Nations Cup? Otherwise, it looks like a pretty straightforward schedule albeit with no WCHA teams. Out of conference includes the usual suspects: BU, UNH, Providence, Northeastern and UConn and an exhibition against Team Russia.

USCHO Seems to have the entire NU schedule up. The noncon schedule looks pretty good. Cornell and Dartmouth are coming to Matthews. As are the Boston Blades and Team Russia.

Still no WHCA teams but I would say this year's non-conference slate is another step forward with games against BU (2), BC (1), NU (1), Mercyhurst (1) and Syracuse (1). There is also a non-conference matchup against SLU.

Posting this one more place (already on both team threads)...

The Minnesota women's hockey team put out this announcement about their series in January at Wisconsin:

For any of you GWH fans who were thinking about traveling to Madison for our games at the new LaBahn Arena, we have a schedule change! The games will now be on Friday, Jan. 25 and Sunday, Jan. 27. There will be not be a game on Saturday, Jan. 26 anymore.

MSU allowed more than twice as many goals per game as UW. The Mavericks graduated their primary goaltender; Rigsby returns for the Badgers, as does most of the blue line. Decker won't have to carry UW. Knight, Prévost, and Brooke Ammerman are huge losses, but Bucky will still have more talent up front than all but a short list of teams. How short is still TBD.

Interesting how this played out. If Decker doesn't point, UW is 0-2. MSU with the better goalie stats.

An email just came out to some Gopher fans from the Minnesota Athletics Department regarding the 2/1/2013 and 2/2/2013 games against Minnesota-Duluth...

Due to television obligations with the Big Ten Network, the Gopher Women's Hockey game against Minnesota-Duluth on Friday, February 1st will start at 6:07 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 7:07 p.m. time. The Saturday, February 2nd Gopher Women's Hockey game against Minnesota-Duluth will start at 2:30 p.m. instead of the originally scheduled 4:07 p.m. time.
