and the gahden goes wild.

Boston's gay, Gionta's gonna see the top shelf of Thomas' net in his nightmares.

Here's what I missed in San Jose from the Bruins game running long.

Well that was nice of them to score before I went into church. :) Kali Anastasi - shutting down now.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

It's infinitely harder for a righty to bury a one-timer near post on a 2 on 1 if he's coming down the right side as opposed to the left.

Good point. After seeing the replay, he was wider than I first thought. I guess in the heat of the moment, it looks like he's coming right down the slot

I could not be any less offended by Pacchioretti's Twitters. Especially once I noticed that Marchand looks like Barbara Streisand's long lost son. This might even be more of a stupid "controversy" than Ferrance flipping the bird.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Well folks, game #6 tonight in Chicago, should be a fun one. The question is, does Luongo show up? If he does, the Canucks win by two. if he doesn't, Hawks by three, and we head back out west for game #7.

I really hope Toews can score a **** goal! He's been all over the ice, just hasn't put the biscuit in the basket.

Further tough news for Montreal - wee David Desharnais, who was stellar last night, didn't play in the second OT due to a knee injury. One suspects that Pouliot will be resurrected, which isn't exactly awe inspiring.

I'm sure 'Hawks fans will be on Roberta's case early and often. ;)

Definitely not offended but pacioretty has definitely come across as a ****** at various times during this season. The bigger thing here is how do his teammates feel about him basically saying he was bored watching them play in such a big game.

Buffalo-Philly underway, Buffalo looking to advance . . .

Gaustad 1 Hartnell 0

On the ensuing 4x4, the Sabres take a 1-0 lead.

The Flyers goaltending is awful. I like it.

Is bobrovsky hurt? The flyers didn't really have a #1 goalie last year and lost to chicago on a craptastic goal, yet they come back with the same scrubs? I just don't understand it.

Re: 2011 NHL Playoffs: Can the goalies be stopped?

Boston's defensemen made more saves yesterday than Philly's goaltending has today.
