2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Nice of us to call up a Triple-A pitcher to pitch the nightcap against Fausto Carmona today.

Also should be a cool 98 degrees today. Perfect for playing two! :D

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Obviously not terribly concerned about this game, with all of the swinging at pitches at eye level and whatnot.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Am I the only one kind of annoyed that they still have to wear the Earth Day caps today?

Also, today's moment in Bremer homerdom: He said the AL Central isn't the weakest division in baseball(that statement could almost stand on its own), but then brought up the AL East as potentially being weaker. Right. A couple weeks after Dick and Bert nearly **** a brick on the air over the rumors of MLB doing away with divisions and the Twins having to finish ahead of the Yankees and Red Sox to get into the playoffs.

I didn't hear any of that. I heard him attack the NL Central, not the AL East.

Also, we get it. You don't like Dick and Bert.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

He said AL East, NL East, and NL Central, but he only gave reasoning for the NL Central, since you can't come up with an argument for the other two even when you live in Fantasy Land.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

I merely remember him mentioning that the AL Central didn't have a leader with a .600 winning percentage like the AL and NL East. I don't recall him really claiming that they were weaker than our division. Maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention.

Edit: At least we weren't shutout. Woo.

Mauer's bat wakes up, everyone else's goes to sleep. I lost count of how many times he reaches with two outs lately.

Good job by the young kid from Guelph. First ever start is a quality one. Not his fault we can't string anything together today.

Edit: I just wanted to let everyone know that I don't like Dumatrait anymore. Haven't for a few weeks. That is all.

After yesterday we are 8-3 against the Indians.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

this new joe guy at first seems pretty good. we should lock him up for a couple years.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Revere has picked a brilliant moment to disappear completely.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Valencia wins it with a bases loaded double in the 9th. :D

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

I don't think Perez and Valencia are friends anymore.

They showed a brief second or two of Perez smashing the sh*t out of something in the dugout right after the game ended. Wish they would have shown more.
