2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

I really want a Thome jersey like that now.

No way, a winning streak?

No kidding.

Gardy gets tossed for the first time this season. Guys were yapping about strikes and the ump was getting irritated, Gardy got himself in the middle of it to keep the players in the dugout. Then Thome gets angrier than I think I have ever seen him, but somehow stays in the game. Ump looked scared.

That Hoey guy looked pretty good last night...it would be nice to have a good arm that can throw high 90's in the bullpen.

Also, nice to see Drew Butera step up with 3 RBI with Baby Jesus out with mild congestion.

I think I'd be pretty **** scared if Thome was that angry at me..he was awfully upset.

Hoey looked good, we could definitely use a reliable hard throwing reliever.

7 of our 8 hits last night were from the 5-8 hitters..if the top comes through, last night's game isn't even close.

Let's hope we can tack a series win onto the april resume and get things under control. It's only two games, but hopefully that's all it taks.

Never noticed until now that the O's play "Ole" when they score a run. Christ.

I am far too young to despise the world I live in so much. Little things like that just keep twisting the knife.

Also, Pavano not looking good so far.

I agree they suck. But I can't blame them right now, they're missing their 2-3-4-5 hitters!

This is true. I just hope we can somehow win a few games here and finish the month sub .500. Good news is, Detroit and Chicago are also struggling, and I don't know how long the indians and royals can keep up their hot pace.

Didn't the Royals start out hot last year as well? I don't see either of them maintaining that.

Oh by the way, Twins win. Of course they still can't score more than 1 run in a inning.

Exactly my point. I don't believe KC or Cleveland wins the division. We'll be fine if we can get healthy and win some of our upcoming division games. This weekend's series starting tomorrow night is big.

Win's a win at this point, I'll take it.

Re: 2011 Minnesota Twins: Yoshi, Pavario, and Big Jim's Quest for 600

Twins should look into trading for Prince Fielder at the deadline, assuming Milwaukee decides they aren't in the title hunt. Package in Morneau to get him and then sign him to a long term deal.

Why would the Brewers want Morneau? They need young pitching. Maybe a young shortstop that doesn't suck. Mat Gamel will probably play first after Prince is gone, whenever that is.

Well, the Twins don't have one of those.

Morneau has some value, and they may think he's past his issues. Plus hes still under contract. It wouldn't be a 1-for-1 deal. The Twins would still have to throw in some prospects.

Isn't Miguel Sano a shortstop prospect?

edit: nevermind, he was signed as a shortstop, but apparently he isn't supposed stay there as he isn't a good fit for the position
