This years Twins team reminds me of this quote :D

As quoted in the Associated Press on June 6, Drysdale said that after he heard on the news that Koufax had thrown his third career no-hitter, his first thought was "Did he win it?"

He had some pressure on him with this one too. I am sure he knew that if he did poorly he was going to Rochester.

He owes Valencia a beer. He should also get one to the ump for missing the phantom tag.

Hopefully Liriano's no hitter can kick start the whole team.

I turned the game on in the 9th not knowing Liriano was throwing a no-no but did see he was pitching in the 9th and ahead 1-0. My first thought was Gardy had been fired. :eek: ;)

So Liriano got dumped in my fantasy league a week or two ago by a frustrated owner. Do I want him? I have top waiver priority and I can get him if I do, but his bad K/BB numbers (even in the no-hitter) make me nervous. I think I may wait another start and see if it looks like he's turned a corner, assuming nobody else puts a claim in and forces me to make a decision sooner.

A no-hitter with six walks is almost more impressive than a perfect game for Liriano due to his well-documented troubles pitching from the stretch.

He's like those busty porn chicks that wear the corsets to cover the ridiculous ponch they have. At first, you think they might be acceptable, but then you realize the corset is never removed which means they are definitely chubby.

Don't get him unless you want to be a chubby chaser.

While beating the White Sox is enjoyable to say the least. It doesn't constitute winning. They are as bad or worse then we are. Beating them 5 times is like losing in extra innings once to a .500 team.
