2011 D-III Frozen Four - who's going?

Re: 2011 D-III Frozen Four - who's going?

OK - got the flight, got the car, got the hotel, got the room. Residence Inn in Roseville has nice rates. 2BR suite $135 if you stay 2 nights.

If they change from Fri / Sat to Sat / Sun, I am screwed.

I'm pretty sure the Fri/Sat schedule is locked down now.

But then, we are talking the NCAA and TV schedules...

Considering it's about an eight mile drive...pretty sure I'll be there.

Re: 2011 D-III Frozen Four - who's going?

Does that make it an in-region tournament?

Hmm, that's a good question. Will out of region games count towards determining a national champion? Inquiring minds want to know...

Elmira to Minneapolis...17 hrs, yikes!

Make that about 17.5 hours from east of Rochester (NY) - making Placid last year was a great time because of the distance, and Norwich was a respectable institution to cheer for (not because of you, Prez, but its military tradition) after the Lakers lost. The former appeal dies with Minneapolis, and its a challenge for the latter - who knows who's going from the East at this point?

Likely, it is Lakers or nothing this time, for me - I am not a purist.

From my house to Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, MN: 1,304 miles or 22 hours and 21 minutes.

Looks like I'll be watching the Championship on CBS College Sports. :)

Round trip airfare if I'm willing to miss an entire day of classes (which I'm not) would be 906EUR. If I wanted to leave after classes, It'd be 1037EUR. Unfortunately, I'll have to pass on that one.
