She apparently passed on the tournament because her academic course load was weighing her down. This was discussed by Grogan during the broadcast of the series with UMD.

Thanks, Blackbeard. I missed that bit of news because I was at Ridder for both of the UMD games.

Correct. This was decided during national team summer camp in August. Her main focus is now on studies and Gophers.
