I didn't want to "clutter" the Team USA thread with other results.

Canada - Finland just got under way, and it looks like it will be a long one for the Fins, as it is 2 - 0 on goals by Wakefield and Bendus at the nid point of the 1st. Finland has just finished serving their 4th penalty with 7 left. The stats feed is far superior to Gametracker - it refreshes often and seems to be keeping realistic "time".

3 - 0 - Scanzano. Finland in Time Out, then take another penalty immediately after.

1st period complete.

30 seconds in to t he second, Hefford makes it 4 - 0

Interesting that they list everyone on the ice for the team that scored, but only throw the goalie under the bus on the team that gave it up.

Monique Lamereaux-Kolls makes it 1 - 0 in the opening minutes of the second!

Stack adds a second goal at the halfway point.

USA goes on the PP on a Too Many call against Sweden.

3 - 0. Cahow on the PP.

Kendall Coyne nets one with 5 to go in the 2nd.

Amanda Kessel's PP goal makes it 5 - 0 USA with under 2 in the 2nd.

USA takes a Too Many Men penalty and Sweden calls a timeout to strategize.

5 - 0 after two periods of play. USA outshooting Sweden 42 - 7.

Stack wasted little time potting her 2nd of the day, on the PP, at the beginning of the 3rd.

Lamereaux-Kolls adds her 2nd. 7 - 0.

Sweden will finish the game on the PK.

Or not, as J Lam makes it 8 - 0 and springs Emma Eliassen. Game ends USA 8 - Sweden 0. Shaus with the shut out.

USA - Canada underway.

Labonté in net for Canada, Vetter for the USA.

Courtney Birchard just got whistled for holding. Killed successfully.

Another PP for USA Scanzano in the box. Killed successfully.

Canada on the PP now. Thatcher in the bin. Guess the refs are setting the tone early? Killed successfully.

Period ends 0 - 0. Agosta got a late penalty. USA will be on the PP for 1:10 of the second. No way to get a feel for the game this way. Shots are USA 9 - Canada 6, glad they found time to shoot between whistles!

Canada on the PP. And again. Back to back, but USA kills both.

Marvin took a penalty at 18 minutes of the 2nd, and J Lam answered that with a Shorty!

3 minutes into the 3rd and another penalty. This time Canada is called, and kills it.

Wickenheiser scores for Canada.

USA in the box again.

5 left to go, Vetter is on the bench an a delayed call. USA on the PP..

Last minute, Vetter out for the extra attacker.

Canada pots an ENG. Final Canada 3 - USA 1

Scoreless after 1 in the Sweden - Finland game.

Finland takes a 1 - 0 lead under 30 seconds into the 2nd.

Sweden ties it at 1.

Fast forward 2 periods. Game ends tied at 1.

USA is leading Finland 4-0 a little more than halfway through the 1st period. Goals by Coyne, Lamoureux, Kessel and Knight.

Question: why isn't Noora Raty playing for Finland? I have to believe the game would be a little closer if they had her in goal. If I'm reading it right the U.S. has 8 goals on just 21 shots.

Chu and Decker score in the 3rd to make it a 10-0 final. Final shots were 55-15, shut out for Vetter.

Just guessing that they might be saving her for game with the rival Swedes. It's probably the one game they would like to win the most.
