2011-2012 UNH Wildcats

Re: 2011-2012 UNH Wildcats

Don't forget to get your raffle tickets Saturday at the Whitt for this unique piece of Wildcat Hockey merchandise. This granite coffee table measures 42" x 18", and is made from the same stone used in the Vietnam War Memorial Wall. The drawing will be held during the third period of the game against Vermont. Tickets are $5.00, or three for $10 and benefit the hockey program.

Now that is awesome, would look great in my living room :) that and 2 wins this weekend would make for a great weekend!!

Re: 2011-2012 UNH Wildcats

Well got the last 2 home games of the year and look how quiet it is. 2 games they can’t afford to lose, anything but 4 points would be a disappointment I think

Re: 2011-2012 UNH Wildcats

I do not see Henrion warming up. I see Pavelski out there. Henrion obvioisly hurt?

Re: 2011-2012 UNH Wildcats

Lackluster and disappointing to put it lightly.. no one was in front of Madore 95% of the offensive zone possession. Clearly we weren't "up" for this game.

I can't remember a team that blew so many games late or in OT.

My thoughts to, every time they shot from the point it was like sea's parted and no one was ther efor a screen or a rebound, they were giving Madore to much respect tonight, can't do that Saturday night, need to fight for some garbage goals. Only spark was after Vermont tied it 2-2 and Mosses took over, besides that flat all night. They can get up for BC and Merrimack and then show this against Vermont, here is hoping they come out full throttle on Satuday night.

Re: 2011-2012 UNH Wildcats

Controlled play for much of the game, had several chances but could not put the game away. That seems to be the story of the year.

Re: 2011-2012 UNH Wildcats

Well now to get 6th looks like will need to win the next 3 and get some help, its doable, but not the way I would like it, first up a solid effort tonight for all 60 minutes from all 4 lines.

I suspect this: http://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/tvsked.php is outdated, but if not both this weekend's games are televised.

The Friday game is not on WBIN-TV:

The Saturday game is on WBIN-TV:

The same story is presented on UMass's website:

Re: 2011-2012 UNH Wildcats

So another big weekend, and again quiet around here. Need at least 1 win this weekend to clinch a spot, 2 wins would be huge and hopefully get a chance at 6th. Looking at the standings, if all those OT loses in the last 2 months were just ties could be fighting for home ice.

So true, sigh. This Cats team is much better than they appear to be on paper. OT losses are hard to take, especially against the average teams. They have played well against the better teams in HE this season, except for BU. So, I like their chances 2 out of 3 in the first round if they can avoid Agganis.
