2011-2012 Season Schedules

Re: 2011-2012 Season Schedules

The Denver Cup is set opponents, and not championship/consolation on the 2nd day?

It is set opponents

Nov. 25 1st Game Providence/Miami
Nov. 25 2nd Game Princeton/DU

Nov. 26 1st Game Providence/Princeton
Nov. 26 2nd Game Miami/DU

Great effort on the spreadsheet. Not to add work, but it would be extremely helpful to add an @ for away games, and maybe a # for neutral site games. Then, just by scanning you could easily figure out who was playing where.

I was thinking about that, and I may just do a Bold for home games. Neutral site may be a little tough (at least with declaring the location; if neither team is bolded, you know it's neutral), because my spreadsheet is actually quite dependent upon the name format of the team (hence why the Wolverines are notated as Michigan Ann Arbor and not just Michigan), and the parentheses signifies an exemption (although on Google Docs the name format gets screwed up because of it; it didn't when I was developing this within OpenOffice; anyone with an answer on that one?).

Re: 2011-2012 Season Schedules

I've got no problem with the current set-up where schedules start to trickle out in April and most are out by May. What I don't understand is those schools that haven't released their schedules by the end of the previous school year. As an example, most schedules are set in stone by now (the Spring coaches meetings in Florida being the benchmark). I remember a couple of my years in college getting the NMU schedule before I left for summer and other times not getting it until I got back in the fall (this was pre-USCHO and, basically the internet was in its infancy). The fact that some schools (Alabama-Huntsville stands out in my memory along wit Michigan) as schools that used to wait until September to release their schedules. That just doesn't make any sense to me. In one of those, "if I ruled college hockey," moments, I'm sure I've said that I'd make all schools release their schedules on the same day - likely one day after the coaches meeting.
BC is usually one of the last to release their schedule. They usually release it in September but the schedule is well known by then. It is all about the game times and which day of the weekend it will be played on as there are conflicts with the ACC basketball schedule to be resolved until the TV schedule is released. Both teams use the same arena so until the basketball game times are announced they don't want to release the final hockey schedule.

You could use italics for neutral site.

Re: 2011-2012 Season Schedules

Anyone who is also a member of eLynah or Roundtable have information on either Clarkson's or Cornell's schedule (specifically non-conference or travel partner games)?

Cornell (thread, first post continually updated with schedule) - does not include Florida College Classic with Maine, Clarkson, and UMass-Amherst Dec 29 / 30th, games against Colgate, and their other two non-conference games.

Clarkson (thread, not specific to schedule, but discusses the upcoming season as a whole) - does not currently contain any more information than what is already known (UAA / UAF "tournament" and Florida College Classic)

Since no one has done it yet, here's the composite schedule across the NCAA:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc...mowUE5vSmVRclNwRHFuRVE&hl=en&authkey=CK695cwJ

I tried to break out the teams not only by league, but by cluster using the information I had (sorry CCHA, didn't have your cluster information). Anyone may edit as necessary; add in your non-conference games, fix any mistakes I made, etc.

I don't know if there is an easy way to cross reference things, but for example under Minny there are two games listed against VT in Oct. Under Vermont these games do not show up. I'm not great with excel so I dont' know if there is an easy way to do this but I'm sure there are multiple occassions.

I probably just neglected to also put it over there. :o I'll fix that once I'm out of work; I can't access the spreadsheet from here.

BTW, which teams are in the Catamount Cup tournament this year?

Re: 2011-2012 Season Schedules

Thanks to everyone that has been providing input thus far; I am very appreciative of this.

The WCHA looks to be filled out pretty nicely, with only a couple out of conference games to go. The ECAC conference schedule is also well filled out. That having been said, I would appreciate any more information that people have, even if it's just a rumor that you're possibly playing someone. I try to keep up with all the team threads on this one, but some are tough to follow. Let's see if we can get any more of this filled out.

BTW, for those who don't remember the location:

Re: 2011-2012 Season Schedules

Notre Dame hosts BC November 18th and is supposed to play NU for a series, likely the middle of October. They are in a cluster with BG, FSU, OSU and UA(F), meaning they play those teams 4x each and the other league teams twice. Because they have 3 exempt games, they can schedule 37 for the season, but I've not yet heard who this one last game could be with.

Which NU? Northeastern? Niagara?
