I figured it was going to be some kind of goonery until they showed the replay. Cooke actually made a clean hit for once (at least, as clean as a Cooke hit can be), and Markov's head just took an unfortunate pounding at an odd angle.

First PP was able to work because of the broken stick. It was more of a 5 on 3 at that point.

Second PP I'll grant you because the Pens move around and move the puck around. SHOCKER!

Speculation is the injury is to his leg. We'll see....hope whatever it is, it's not serious.

Not sure I'm digging a Subban-Bergeron pairing. I'd break up Gill and Gorges and play one with the other.

Kostitsyn-esque. Although Andrei's letting up so as not to make actual contact with a Pens player on the backboards is the worst play of the night so far.
