Detroit ties it, or assuming the refs swallow their whistles at this point, SJ wins 5-3. That's my take.

Clowe with two stupid decisions there. EN and he shoots right into Lidstrom, then gets the shot and bombs it wide putting DET on the rush.

Lackluster effort for a little bit and SJ made detroit pay for it. Get 'em in game 2.

Well, still up to six games left. Honestly, the fact that SJ nearly blew a 3-0 lead on home ice says a lot.

This is the Sharks. A team renowned for choking. The fact that they managed to hang on says more. Of course I'll be viewing the entire series through teal and black colored glasses so ymmv.

They like to mix it up. Game 1, Game, 4, Game 7. They keep you on your toes :D

Good effort by the Wings. They looked gassed after that Game 7. Game 2 will be crucial if Detroit wants to get into the Sharks head.

The three quick goals was the key point in the game. Stupid defensive lapse.

It was a good close game, pretty much what I was expecting from this series. I think the Wings were still expecting a grittier game (ie: Phoenix, Nashville, Vancouver), and the higher offense was a little unexpected with such a quick turnaround in the series.

Sunday should be one hell of a track meet between these two teams. :)

Rogue high school students. Incidentally, it's supposed to be bad and it succeeds admirably.
