Well Red Cloud wasn't going to acknowledge it either way, so any cute little ideas anyone had are now a moot point.

I didn't like that year, either.
But because a title is useless one year doesn't make it useless forever.
And it'd be great if RC didn't acknowledge it. It makes it that much more fun. It'd be like the USCHO version of Godwin's Law. "Bring up that RC (or whoever) is PoTY, and you lose the argument."

Hey, I was at the bar with friends watching the NHL playoffs tonight. Game was over, I came home. Had a long day.
Even hooked a live one tonight. Some drunk chick heard us cheering for the 'Yotes and hopped on the Detroit bandwagon, until we called her out on it. Then she liked us. Sure she had a boyfriend, but the back and forth was entertaining.
That says a lot! It is Friday night and we are online.

Look at it this way...I basically won because I don't observe the "period of mourning" after someone's team loses. I started ragging on the UND fans after they lost and apparently that wasn't cool...even though everyone's done that for the last 10 years on this board.
After that, I was told by one poster that I should have been at the UAH school shooting and that my mom was probably raped and that I was the offspring. I beat this poster in the voting.
In conjunction with that, another poster said that 75% of rape victims are fabricating their stories and that of the 25% who are raped, 90% were asking for it. This was probably the most head-scratchingly stupid things ever posted on this board. I also beat this poster in the voting.
Let's move on to another poster who tried ruining a (female) poster's reputation because she WOULDN'T go out with him. Apparently that made her a whore. Never been used by a woman before? Welcome to reality. I beat this poster in the voting as well.
Let's go back to the "period of mourning." After SCSU beat NMU in the NCAA playoffs, I posted a little good-natured smack talk on another poster's page. This led to the poster DELETING their Facebook profile. It also caused another poster to de-friend me. I defeated both of these posters in PotY.
So I'm a huge child and I'm a dick to people. Yay me!

And it's one thing to rag on another dooshbag after a loss. It's another thing to do that to your friends. Hell, even Sioux fan friends of mine and I don't do that to each other after a loss. We even watch the games together, often.
As for the whore thing, if you knew the story, the WHOLE story, and actual facts from both sides, it's a different scenario than the one you paint, but you want in her pants, so you add things that are not there, including opinions about the female in question.
