Re: 2010-2011 NHL Season Part II - Concussions Are Serious Business, Savvy?

Certainly not. The B's have a whole 2 American players on the roster currently.

I will be livid if I am sitting near dumb Habs fans that boo the National Anthem. No respect...

I will, however, be looking forward to CAR-EY! CAR-EY!

If any Canadiens' fans boo the anthem, they deserve whatever they get.

As for Carey, he has a pretty good record against Boston, even with the snowman game earlier this month.

Should be a fun time for you. Montreal has played well above themselves this year, and it's mainly Price. They can't score at all, and they've got 3 of their top 4 defensemen out for the year. Boston should throttle them, and that is not sandbagging at all.

The way Nieuwendyk's been dealing/talking, I wouldn't be surprised to see Richards held onto then not resigned in the offseason. Apparently, ol Joe initially had asked Sather for something like Dubinsky, Stepan, Staal and a 1st. ::facepalm::
Uhhhh... what? I'm not sure how much you can reasonably expect to get for a rental player who's missed the last two weeks with a concussion, even if he is really good. I don't know that I'd trade any of those guys for Richards.

Seen while looking stuff up about this rumor:

D'oh.

The Caps trading for Dennis Wideman seems a bit odd. Maybe Greenie is more hurt than they're letting on.

I like the deal that Columbus just made - they get Upshall and Lepisto from Phoenix for Klesla, who's expendable with Clitsome and Tyutin.

Howard has signed a two-year extension with Detroit, at $2.25 mil/yr.

In other news, every player in the league started drooling at the thought of two more years of his rebounds.

Seriously, I hope the guy can show some consistency pretty soon.

Kari Lehtonen made a career out of giving up rebounds for sport. Seriously. I think he enjoys giving up big jucy rebounds just to make a dramatic save.

I bought 2 of his shirts. Thanks for recommending to follow him on Twitter, the guy is hilarious.

He's an absolute riot. It's great that he can give and take chirps in stride and make fun of himself at the same time.

Campoli and a conditional 7th to Chicago for Ryan Potulny and a conditional 2nd to Ottawa.

Samsonov from CAR to FLA for Allen is now official. Interesting swap between division opponents.

Also, STL sends Brad Winchester to ANA for a 3rd.

Hearing Penner to the Canadiens

Apparently not

Very interesting to see that the Blues and Panthers, both somewhat fringe teams for the playoffs this season, decided to just throw in the towel and plow forward with their youth movements. Also interesting, is that they're both two teams that I thought were already starting their "youth movements" last year.

Shows why Yerdon's earning big NBC money, and I'm just a schmuck posting about it on a college board during my regular job. :p :(

Penner to the kings for a 1st and a conditional 2nd round pick, along with D Colton Teubert. Yikes, that's a lot to give up.

OK - now TSN is saying Penner to LA for 1st, and 3rd round pick, along with Colton Teubert

How is Dustin Penner still worth that much?
