Ellis was offside by about a full stride. Nice work linesman. Why can't we replace those wastes of oxygen with robots/lasers?

Big slash by Boychuk on Vanek.

He had already committed a hook and he goes to the box.

I had a feeling an injury was coming soon...especially probably to vanek or one of the likes.

Always happens with the sabres, especially playing so much more physical than they usually do.

CBC saying there likely won't be any suspension for Sutton.

But then again, they aren't disciplinary experts. ;)

The 2nd period of the Detroit-Phoenix game last night was some of the best nhl hockey I've seen in a long time.

So I'm watching the Bruins and Sabres on NBC HD and

I'm sorry, where was I?

The second period wasn't great hockey, it was terrible defensive hockey. :D

Sure, it was exciting, but I like defense too.

Buffalo rolled out half of their AHL defensive unit in the Conference Finals in 2006 because of injuries. Buffalo still took Carolina to seven games.

Ok, that bit of Bruin on Bruin violence was kind of funny. Kind of.

Glad noone's hurt.

Tie game. Took a 4 on 2, but Boston found a way not to get a pass or shot blocked.

And this is what happens when a stat showing your 31-0-0 record when leaving after 2 periods gets flashed on the screen.

That's because it doesn't take an army of Lidstroms to understand and play the trap. ;)

Things you don't see often this year: Wideman preventing a goal.

This game is brought to you by Nytol since it will help you get your zzzzs :D

The people outside of Buffalo and Boston who are excited by the pace of this game are Devils fans ;)
