Ok, I will bite....USM played tight and couldn't win a D zone face-off in the last two minutes.....The Penalty that lead to the GWG was one of the worst calls I have seen in 15 years: The USM player that had the puck tired to jump past the UNE players and knocked him over....I was about 4 feet from the play....After the UNE scored to take the 3-2 lead two players, Quinn and Sullivan decided do a little taunting and skated back into the USM D zone while the refs were reporting the goal: So they got roughed up a little....There were NO punches and the penalties were not as bad as they look on the score sheet...Even the grabbing the face-mask penalty on UNE was a weak call....USM has to learn how to close games out and realize that there are no rules in front of your own net in the last minute of play.....It's been a tough year but there are a ton of bright spots and USM is missing a lot of older leadership in Mike Green and Dave Nies as well as explosive rookie Garrett White....They should be back soon and USM has received very good goaltending from Josh Hillgas in the last couple weeks....USM can either use this as an excuse and stop playing or they can accept what has happened move on and learn and become a better team....I think the latter is going to happen....
