You don't honestly think we could be lucky enough to see platty-pus lose with an NCAA bid on the line, do you? No, they will win something like 7-1 next week and somehow get away with a championship after having a really sub-par Sunyac season. Figures.

Oswego missed way to many open chances, were not aggressive at all around the net and couldn't pass worth a crap, pretty much the same recipe as all their other losses. Beckwith played so well tonight and the rest of the team really let him down.

It is actually getting pretty old watching the Laker Basketball team and the hockey team finish at or near the top of the league before getting totally away from what made them successful and losing in the playoffs.

What makes Neumann a lock? They were behind both Plattsburgh and Norwich last week. I could see them passing Norwich, but I don't think they've done enough to pass Plattsburgh (lest we forget that pesky head-to-head in January). Plattsburgh just beat a ranked team, too (yes, I know both of Neumann's games this week were with ranked teams). Neumann beat #7, Plattsburgh beat #8.... I can't see how Neumann is a "lock".

That said, Plattsburgh should just go ahead and win next weekend - just to be sure!

What makes them a lock is playing in the ECAC West. Despite not having an auto bid, that freaking conference ALWAYS gets multiple bids, recently it seems like three teams somehow always get in. It's crazy.

You can't be sure of that. ECACW has had three quite a few times. Next week will tell the story.

Remy, that is beautiful but I don't think '07 was a tank year, Amborski played out of his mind. All of the other years, including tonight certainly fit.

Come to think of it, the word Laker is a slang word for Lake Tanker so maybe the administration brought all the tanking on themselves by naming the sports teams that. The Basketball team can use your tanker logo as well having dominated the SUNYAC before bowing out last night to Brockport at home.

A lot of Cardinal fans breaking out in gleeful celebration of Oswego's loss tonight. Probably retribution from the shoe being on the other foot not so long ago...

I shall look forward to Selection Sunday - things may still just pan out for Oz and Platty to meet in Minneapolis.

Actually 5 times is the past 10 years....we are kind of use to it by now :)
